The Onedin Line repeats on Tuesday 27 th

Just to let people know that The Onedin Line is being repeated on Yesterday on Tuesday 27 th at 16:00 and then at 19:00.

After watching Poldark on Yesterday I thought I would try this as well. Anyone a fan of it. I sadly missed it when it was repeated on UK Gold in the early 90s. Love the theme tune though. 91 episodes though! That is going to take a while! I hope Yesterday shows it all the way through.

Yes, would love to see Colditz again (has it been repeated at all in recent years ?) Better than most of the c**p passing as drama these days. Perhaps BBC3 or 4 could resurrect it.

I hope so - too - but would not bet on it.

Last time it was on one of these channels a few years ago they ended on a massive cliffhanger part way through and never showed the rest.

Only the first couple of series seem to be on DVD as well suggesting their might be rights issues about later series.

I am reluctant to start watching if they drop it after two or three series.

From Digiguide all I can say for sure is they are screening at least the first two or three series every weekday up to the end of August.

September listings not out yet.

Just checked the channel site and this goes a little further but listings stop suddenly on 3 September with the final episode of series 2.

Hope that does not prove to be it.

I tend to watch 2/3 at a time.

I watched the last episode of series 2 last night. I can't believe they've
killed off Anne
!

She was such a great character.

Most enjoyable viewing for years!

Thats a quick repeat it was only on at the beginning of the year, I would like to see Secret Army which Yesterday seems to have shelved completely , I missed it on its first outing on the BBC and missed many eps when it was on UKTV History.

Loved OL when it was shown several years ago as - like an earlier poster - I never saw it on its original airing. Would love to see how it enRAB.

Secret Army - also good :)

It's about time someone repeated Colditz !

BANG! Blood dribbles down. We're on a submarine, two sailors sit down and have a game of chess and then the cups start wobbling and then a man who used to be in The Onedin Line comes in and goes "Why are the cups wobbling what's going!? And then he pulls down the periscope and he looks through it and goes "Oh my God the submarine's being eaten by a giant tanker!"

If it was on at the beginning of the year DID they show all 9 (10?) series?

I assume not as that would have taken about 4/5 months.

Thanks! Might give Onedin a go, but would hate it to end abruptly. I can recommend Secret Army but, BEST OF ALL: Tenko. They don't make telly like that anymore.

That sounded like a description of The Deep (which could have done with being more like The Onedin Line - given that it was pure tosh with a lot of shouty Russians with feeble dialogue and sadly therefore rather more like The One Line Din)

But who was in it from The Onedin Line?

Agree, there is nothing more frustrating than watching what you know is a long running series to find they have only bought the first few episodes and will endlessly recycle these to save money.

If you are committing to watching something 5 days a week you need a committment of fair treatment from the channel as well.

But experience shows you rarely get it.

Would also love to see someone rerun A Family At War.

I would have thought that with UKTV pretty much wholly owned by BBC Worldwide... and the series is owned by BBCWW (as it was pre-Birt)... surely there wouldn't be rights issues as the Beeb own the thing!
