The One Movie i love and care for out of everything i have seen IS

TITANIC 1997 - James Cameron and i love James Horner his music is pure genius and i hate drama movies but this beats every movie i have ever seen, the mother of all mother movies i love it.

For me Star Wars - A New Hope....Titanic? are you a woman?. For me James Cameron took a wrong turn on that movie. He created 'Aliens', which is an absolute stunning classic and then churned out that schmultzy, stereotypical, hollywood, stomach churning piece of rubbish you know and love called 'Titanic'. When my friend downloaded it we fast forwarded to the sinking. LOL. Says it all.

Brokeback Mountain - perfect adaptation of the short story, beautifully shot, spot on performances from all the four leaRAB and a story that haunts.

I to hate Titanic, overlong, cliched ridden, sentimental rubbish - I cheered when Leo went under (and I'm a woman - if that matters)

The Godfather and The Goodfellas...and most of the films from this genre.

Also loved Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and anything by Spielberg (too many to mention. :)

Star Wars, A New Hope.

Saw it as a teenager, now watch it with my children. It's the film that I think for my generation has been the backdrop of our lives. It's a shared experience for all of us who sat in a cinema when we were young, with ours mouths open, feeling let alone hearing and seeing, the opening scene with the battlecruiser flying across the screen.
I know it's not the best film ever made, it's not even the best in the trilogy, but no film for me, has ever come close to recreating the feeling of awe and excitement.

To quote Simon Pegg in Spaced "You had to have been there".
