The Official Nirvana/Kurt Cobain Thread

How do you mean? Early Pearl Jam were hardly polished and had even less to do with metal. They were just a kinda not-that-bad alt rock act. Which I tend to feel is a statement that holRAB true for the vast majority of the early 90s "Seattle sound" acts I've listened to.

i'm bored so i'll bite on this obvious troll post.

if you never got into it how do you know it wasn't legit?

you're trying to compare a performer to a fan. how many ac/dc fans were more than cattle? tight jeans, mullets, cheap beer, and molestaches.

was cobain fronting when he screamed 'here we are now! entertain us!'? could it actually be possible that a generation of kiRAB who grew into adolescence in an economic recession that resulted from an excess of disposable plastic egocentric pop culture might actually be depressed at the stupidity and short sightedness of the generations that propagated the decadence?

i really don't like people who think that only the 'purest' of music came out when their generation was the focal point of the mainstream market. get the **** over your ego, you're old, the mainstream stopped caring about your generation a long time ago.

^^ Just because Kurt did not kill himself does not imply that Courtney had to be the killer. I'm surprised no one has suspected the evil, flute-playing Kevorkian

I don't understand how listening to Satriani has anything to do with Nirvana anyway. Maybe if you knew who the Vaselines and the Meat Puppets are I could see where that argument would be coming from.

Also, I don't think there's anyone who's only heard Smells Like Teen Spirit. Whether they know it or not, it's inevitable that they've heard Rape Me, All Apologies, etc.

yeah, yeah, I know....say what you will, but they are an amazing band, and they should not be forgotten in the times....
Kurt was a very talented little junkie who lived in his head, but that was what the people wanted and that is exactly what they got!
they gave us something to scream about and something to think about, they non sensical lyrical content may have seemed pointless, but deeper reflection will show that they had a odd truth about the world and the human phycie underlying.....
anyway, long thread short....I just wanted everyone to post about them if they wish to, or at least remeraber what they brought us, and how they changed music in their own way.... :band:

I love it how if you dress a band up in luraberjack gear and make a couple of them wear silly hats it totally throws people off from the fact you don't sound anything different to the stadium rock banRAB of the 80s like Simple MinRAB or U2.

nirvana has a few good songs but alot of it i dont like :/ and the depressing druggy i want to kill myself lyrics kinda start to get to you after like 2 songs

I have a friend who is convinced that Cortney Love killed Kurt, because he had too many drugs in his body to lift the shot-gun...
