The Official Metallica Thread

Yeah, because most banRAB never recover from one bad album right?

As for me, I'm not much of a Metallica fan, so in my eyes, all their albums are garbage. However, it doesn't affect me any if they produce an album, and if it will make them more money, then why not go for it?

Though their new stuff doesnt sound as good as their old, Metallica still kicks ass.

They show they did with GoRABmack a few years ago was spectacular. (Here in Boston, Sully got up and sung a song with them, it kicked ass)

**** yeah i hope they make a great return.......their music basically went a LITTLE DOWN HILL AFTER THE VIDEO FOR I DISAPPEAR.....BUT THEY'LL MAKE THEIR COMEBACK....GOING BACK TO THE DAYS OF kILL EM ALL AND MASTER OF PUPPETS

Buddy, This is a forum. You ask a question people give there opinion about the question. You don't just put a ****en statement that everybody already ****en knows damnit

Actually..
The poll says they COULD release a good album , which we knew anyway, seeing as theyve released good stuff before.

Doesnt mean they will though.

Metallica is way capable of coming back some of the best thrash metal musicians so give em a chance if they are the worlRAB third biggest selling act than the can definetly cane come back with a good one
:soapbox:

Well, Metallica are definitely not as great and inspiring as they used to be. I still love some of their songs but mostly the older songs. I think their newer songs sound like poor remixes of the older ones and that's a bit depressing especially from such a great band like Metallica. And I'm positive they're heading further downhill.

that's what im saying. i mean imagine having Dustin Kensrue (lead singer of Thrice) singing for Metallica, admittadly it'd be pretty interesting but at the same time, it just wouldn't be the same. Metallica is good the way they are, even if their old stuff is slightly better, i do think the amount of experience for the guitarist have increased in their new album however.

Yeah, I guess you both have a point as the similarities you pointed out are all true, except I quite like the lyrics in Kill 'Em All but not St Anger.
To be honest, I haven't listened to St Anger much at all as I instantly disliked it.
Kill 'Em All is my favourite Tallica album but in my opinion, St Anger is the worst. Maybe it was an attempted step in the right direction, but it failed.
Also, Kill 'Em All does have much better guitar work and solos.
Maybe it would have been better if it wasn't for Bob Rock.
