but post grunge like Days of the New is good

Badmotorfinger is a better album than superunknown and I prefer Bleach over Nevermind...

Seattle plays a huge part in my music and its bullshit that 'grunge' is the seattle sound. Especially when you have post-emo, that blood brothers hardcore, and tons of other styles that emerged from it.

And i've never seen how Ten and Bleach sound the same.

I also don't see how I was 'amped' to 'dump' his opinion.

Points well taken. Perhaps the "total fixation on grunge" you mention might be the result of the teens' lack of experience with other styles of music/banRAB. Maybe they'd be fixated on whatever caught their attention first, hence the fixation on Nirvana of many young grunge fans.

Grunge was just a word Johnathan Poneman used to market his label Sub Pop RecorRAB and the banRAB on it. He got it from a Lester Bangs article. You can use grunge to describe just a handful of recorRAB released on Sub Pop in the late '80s, recorRAB by banRAB like Mudhoney, Nirvana, Tad and so on.

It doesnt really mean anything though, it was just a phrase used to shift product product for a few years about 20 years ago. Nothing more.

The funny part is, all the "indie" and "chav" (still dont know what that is) banRAB he mentioned, I dont think anyone listened to. So he would just attack people based on the fact that they listened to a genre associated with a few banRAB that he didnt like.
