The Official Green Day Thread

Nirvana has better melodies I would say, although I don't really think you could class them as melodies. I dislike Green Day as a band but I have to admit they have made some great melodies in the past. I had the Time of Your Life melody stuck in my head just by other people singing it.
 
yeah. well, get this, I live in a bungalow with 2 bedrooms that holRAB my mom, my 2 brothers, my baby, and myself and my 3 yr old son on weekenRAB...
not to mention, a cat, a jack russell dog, and a beta fighting fish, and a hampster,
 
I know. But it didn't stop them from professing to be, when it was fashionable.

Now, I guess they're modern rock ala Nickelback, LOL.
 
my dear foolish naive scot.....i see that you're an optimistic newbie...when you've been on this board as long as i have you will see that there really is no point trying to rationalize you liking green day or these kiRAB thinking they suck horribly......just give it up man....
 
wrong. KISS invented the stage show. KISS invented four spotlights on each guy doing a guitar solo, a drum solo, a presentation. Th emost in demand techs working in the industry belonged to KISS. If you did lights or pyro or sound for KISS, you were the best in the world.

dude, the Rolling Stones in 1977 had nothing in the way of a stageshow that KISS had. KISS invented the art of the touring rock band. They pioneered the logistics in how touring and album marketing was done.

They were the first band in the world to put there names and band logo on their guitar picks.

There is so much stuff KISS invented in rock concert promotion they are now the norm.

KISS invented it. The best in the world, worked for KISS, not The Stones.
