The Official Green Day Thread

1971 - Killer album , came with a full size poster / calendar of Alice with a snake.
1972 - Schools Out Album , came with an album sleeve that opened up like a school desk , the album sleeve itself was a pair of paper knickers.
1973 - Billion Dollar Babies - Came as a giant leather wallet with fold out dollar bills.

Any examples of Kiss doing it sooner than those dates?

Hahahaha...I got my tounge peirced when I was 16 for my birthday, my dad signed for me, but I had to pay for it myself...had it since and still love it, I'm 20 now, and I can safely say that I am not the only one who loves it....lol! :thurab:

American Idiot is a ****ty song. ****ing anti-american twats dont bloody realize a ****ing thing. Greenday is really ****ty, with the exception of a couple of their older songs. A bunch of chorRAB with little to no differing rhythm. ****ing punk/and or punk influenced.

FYI, I am actually older than you, so your "grow up", "young one" and "live some more" comments are simply wrong. I am not going to refute your comments about spending time in front of a comp, because yes, I do spent a lot of time in front of the comp- both my jobs require me to do so, and believe it or not, I have gotten paychecks for sitting here killing time talking about music. Plus I spend about 90% of my day on campus, once again killing time. Wow, this is personal. Those are rather petty, because I'm assuming all of us spend quite a bit of time on a computer.
As far as insulting everyone and "thinking they are smarter than everyone", no, I do not. I insult you, because you insult others, and up until now, you did not insult me directly. I apologize for my contradiction, but that's just how I feel. To me, based on your posts, I question your motives and your intelligence. Forgive me if I am wrong.
Also, I have nothing against you. Never have, never will. Your posts could have been written by the Pope himself, and I would have said the same things. If we want to get more personal, I can. But, no one wants that. Basically, for two individuals who are "older" and have "lived life" , this is pretty childish. I'll keep my harsh critisms at bay, as long as you do the same.

If you don't like Green Day then why are you in this thread? What you are doing is trolling, and is (or should be) a bannable offence.

That is most likely true. and it would be nice to do an album based off of their old stuff. I would be dissapointed if it was another American Idiot type album.

you say that I am an idiot and know nothing about punk music, and I spew insults? Who's insulting now, and every ****ing time that I leave a post.....?
You are a walking contadiction....and yes..I know it is Green Day, lay off. Well now the gloves are off young one...seems every time I come on here, you are here...what do you sit in front of the computer all day and insult others opinions? At least I am out there living my life....what do you got against me? So I don't know every ****ing detail about punk music, and all their names, and birthdays...that's punk...not being a little computer geek, faceless over the net knowing all the facts and thinking they are smarter than everyone...you have been giving me **** here for so long...now the gloves are off and I am glad. I gave you a chance at what you had to offer opinion-wise, but now I just don't care...you really think that your **** don't stink. Well grow up and live some more and then maybe you can talk to me...I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that way.

Hardly pop is like britney spears.Screaching weasles are good so are the queers but that doesnt change a thing alot of pop punk banRAB are heavier than the maistream ones (vandals, queers) but their all pop punk.green day started to pretty heavier and have popped up alot..but their pop punk dude.

If I may, I'd like to break in here for a second and address this Shadow person.

I am the most peaceful person you wil meet, and I mind my own business. There are arguments in this forum, for sure. However, they arise from intelligent discussion about musical viewpoints.

You, however, are simply acting like an a$$. I've been to three threaRAB since I logged in, and in every one of them, you have started a fight, or weakly attempted to. If you think you are going to rile people up, they have seen your kind come and go before. You bring absolutely nothing but trouble. If you want to continue coming here, I suggest you settle down. So you are a KISS fan. So am I.

You don't need to keep shoving down everyone's throat. All you'll do is get yourself banned.

Grow up.

Sorry for the interruption. Carry on.

great, more trivia, you should be on jeopardy.

except, you pretty much just ignored my main point. yeah, the stones didnt have spotlights or random flamethrowers or dress up as freakshows in heels. But if you've ever seen footage of a stones concert, it's impossible to deny that they had a rediculous amount of stage presence. the stones were among the first banRAB to start doing large scale stadium shows, they were one of the first banRAB to place a lot of emphasis on their actual shows, and creating a real showmanship image for themselves. hell even the beatles did the same thing to an extent. the stones took it to a higher level than the beatles, and KISS took it to a higher level than them the DIFFERENCE is that the beatles and the stones actually concentrated on making good MUSIC as well, something that can't be said for KISS.
