The official ECLIPSE movie thread*

Hit the Nail on the Head. I kinda enjoyed the first one because I went in with absolutly ZERO expectations.

Second one I havn't seen as from the trailers it looked like it was just full of scenes to please the ladies..way too soppy.

They've ruined the images of Vampires for ever lol.

seen it and thought it was brill..my husband thinks edward should get rid of bella lol and I'll not repeat the names he was calling her lol ..I was feeling really bad for the little dark haired one near the end..she looked scared as hell

Absolutely loved it!!

I'm so glad that it was so true to the book. Edward and Bella are adorable. Rob & Kristen do those scenes so well.

I also thought Taylor and Rob played off each other really well. The tent scene was exactly how i'd pictured it.

All in all, it was wonderful. 5 stars. And i'm off to see it again on Friday :)

I thought Eclipse was the best of the franchise so far. You can tell they've had a bigger budget on the SFX and the added battle scene that isn't in the book really livens up the action and stops it just being a 'middle' part to Twiglight's begining and Breaking Dawn's end.

Terrible film... just like the first two.

Kristen (who is truly dreadful!) has no chemistry with Robert whats so ever. Its embarrasing.

However Jasper and Rosalie were great.

Guys, guys, I need to know this - was there plenty of Jasper and Alice? I read about the

TONGUE KISS!

but is that all the Jalice goodness I can expect? I'm not sure I can withstand an hour and a half of RPattz balancing out K-Stew's terrible acting without some Jalice, Rosalie/Emmett and Carlisle/Esme goodness ;)

looking on play.com at the moment as they have a sale, just seen the eclipse book film tie in...what's the difference between the original book and the film tie in?

I booked my tickets to see the fillm 3 weeks in advance. I am a massive fan of the books and films and i wore my 'Team Jacob' tshirt to the cinema .....

Why? Because i'm a screaming 12 year old? No i'm 24 and i only screamed 3 or 4 times. Because I'm sad and alone and dream of a life like Bella's? No i'm in a very happy relationship with my partner. Because it's fun to get excited and pick sides and whoop and clap in a cinema? YEP!

It's a decent film, has a nice pace and some interesting characters. Kristen Stewart is a little one dimensional for my liking (every film i have seen her in , as well as every interview, she is awkward and uninterested and clumsy - i would like to see something else please!) Robert Pattison is good in the film but totally spoils it by being far to 'try hard' in interviews ( he is quite sneering about the Twilight Franchise, which p**ses me off, he's made an obscene amount of money thanks to the 'screaming girls' he so often laughs at) Taylor Lautner is a very hanRABome young man (swoon) but also shows some promise as an actor and i predict that he will go on to be much more successful than Kristen or Robert. The supporting cast are all solid performers and you truely root for the Cullen family. Give it a try, i'm sure all you 'haters' will be pleasantly surprised ....;)

I loved it and really enjpyed seeing more of The Cullens. They are so much more interesting than the wolf pack and it makes Eclipse so much better than New Moon. I do agree that they push for Jacob more in the films and Bella would never have left Edward like she did in the scene in the schoolyard if that had been in the book. People criticise Kristen Stewart but in fairness Bella herself is quite one dimensional and 'average' so she doesnt have much to play with. I really enjoyed the film and cant wait for the blu ray

Hannah;41170593']Because the target market for the books is really for young girls age 11+, it's a book about romance - specifically forbidden romance (schoolgirl falls in love with vampire) and also the 'sexy' or 'romantic' aspect to it (it's a dangerous relationship, the vampire craves her blood constantly, but doesn't attack her because he loves her.) But even then there's a mistake, since the schoolgirl does have perioRAB. But of course Stephenie didn't think this through properly, and came out with a lame explanation that the blood is "dead" therefore he doesn't smell it. Or something like that.
This is what she actually said:
Several girls wanted to know if Edward would have a more difficult time being around Bella when she

To the poster above, there are
two Jalice kisses
the first is so cute!

I went to the midnight screening this morning, never done anything like this before and was suprised at the lack of screaming.. I watched a couple of youtube videos from the US screening before going and the audience were quite vocal! There were a few gasps when Jacob first appeared and then when he had his shirt off the first time (not really a spoiler, right?).

The film itself I really enjoyed, much faster paced than New Moon. I could half easily sat through another half an hour of it! The end fight is nicely done and the back stories of Jasper and Rosalie are also well done.. I thought they could have made more of the latter however. That part felt a little like they had to put it in.

Eclipse is now my favourite out of the 3, have already booked tickets to see it again Friday night!

I'm sorry, but isn't it subjective? Thanks for your input. I thoroughly enjoyed the books and found the films to be poor in comparison. A lot missed out, for example in the first one about her frienRABhip with Alice. New Moon came out and suddenly they were best frienRAB.
