The official ECLIPSE movie thread*

Saw Eclipse last Thursday afternoon and thought it was the best film in the series by far. It had a lot more depth than the first two and it was fantastic to see so much more of the Cullens, and the backstories for Rosalie and Jasper were so well done and gave the characters some much needed screen time after they were mostly side lined in the first two. I loved all the Jasper/Alice interaction, too. They're just so cute, and my favourite couple after Edward/Bella. I was initially disappointed that Rachelle Lefevre had been dropped because I'd found her so intriguing as Victoria, but I do love Bryce Dallas Howard and she took over the role seamlessly.

I'm very curious to see how they'll handle Breaking Dawn...and intensely annoyed that there's such a long wait for it and that it's being split into two parts.[/QUOTE]

I think Jasper & Alice are my favourite couple.

Also, the film being split into two and the long wait is perfect for me, as I have yet to read the book. I'll start it in the next few days :)

Because a lot of the text in the books are thoughts. It must be so difficult to make these types of films. The films are pretty poor, but the books are fantastic. I'd rather read the books ten times over than watch any more of the films. Though I'll probably end up seeing Eclipse on DVD when its out. Going to see it with screaming girls and everyone that's just jumped on the bandwagon would be too annoying.

just watched twilight properly for the first time. I've seen it before but I was on RAB at the same time (as usual:o). That look that billy gives edward as they pass each other is freaky!

Hannah;41151566']I'm sorry but the books are NOT fantastic, I am a Twilight fan but the books are terrible. REALLY bad writing, and loaRAB of mistakes and plotholes. Stephenie Meyer isn't a very good writer and she should have sacked the editor. Either way one of them is responsible for the terrible grammar and repetition in the books.

I prefer the movies.

I saw it this morning, it was brilliant. Easily the best ofd the three, plenty of humour and wit and plenty of involvement by the other Cullens and some really passionate and emotional moments. I really enjoyed it and look forward to buying the dvd/blu ray when it comes out. I will prob go and see it again, I loved every second of it.

Saw one of the showings today and it wasn't anywhere near as bad as the second one. I'm not a fan of Twilight, I just went with my friend who is a fan - I'm good like that, plus she bought me popcorn . There were bits they could have cut, like the endless Bella/Edward scenes where they went on and on about the same thing over and over (make me a vampire - marry me, vampire, marriage - blah), but some of it was quite entertaining. I'm liking the wolf pack. I can't understand the obesession about this franchise, and I could have seriously done without the teenage girls cheering and clapping through the movie (wtf ever), but at least it wasn't as painful as I was fearing, and I might not hang myself when faced with the next installment now. Oh and Bella totally made the wrong choice .

If the books are crap as revealed by the poster above and the films are dross why are people still buying this product. Is it just because girls fancy the actors. Are people that shallow nowadays.

No I wanted too as I never got to go to the New Moon one but i'm going to be in Florida so I can't. I am going to see the film at midnight tomorrow though at an IMAX, I bet its going to be crazy!

Not fair. I want to watch the movie. I think its definitely going to be crazy.
Enjoy it. ^_^

I went to the New Moon Fan Event. It was so cool.
Got autographs and got a pic with Robert Pattinson, Kristen.
But just got Taylor Lautners autograph.
I am going to the premiere. Going to be camping outside on Wednesday night time. Me and my frienRAB. Cant wait.
