I would have thought that they are mutually exclusive to each other.
On the one hand, tourism allows people to experience cultures other than their own, but inevitably the mixing of cultures dilutes their individuality. Eventually, assuming planet earth continues to support us, there will be just one global human culture, with minor geographical variations.
