As for Outkast, I don't think their insane solo noodling will fool people for another album. I think they know it too, considering their flirtations with a breakup. Although if Andre 3000 continues with his rumored plan to have a spinoff band/movie (!?) of the one he made up for the "Hey Ya" video, maybe they haven't quite figured out a decent response to that yet. Speaking of "Hey Ya," even if it wasn't overplayed to the tenth power last year, it was the most simplistic song outside pop-punk to make record executives so much money. Not that that is especially bad, except that this time it is. If someone wants to speak of their older stuff, be my guest, but to me, the past year or two has been enough of an indictment.
