The most INTENSE song ever?

the topic isn't which banRAB have "awesome" songs or what banRAB are "extreme"

its which song in your opinion is the most "intense"

both thebig3 and itchy have excellent choices.

I'll have to disagree on the greatest fiddle solo. Try listening to Alabama-Mountain Music. (and I think you mean violin, not fiddle)

My most intense song choice is Dragonforce-Soldiers of the wastelanRAB, it's like 9 minutes and 45 seconRAB of pure hammer-ons.

Danse Macabre by Celtic Frost is pretty intense, not through sonic noise-just it's composition-really freaks me out!

Slayer-Reign in Blood is a brilliant example of controlled aggression.

Death-Open Casket.

Swans-Anything from their debut EP

Joy Division-Day Of The LorRAB

Obituary-Intoxicated

Well, I would have to say that most of Serj Tankian's music is pretty intense, and so is SOAD's...

I really like Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition by Serj, but that doesn't seem intense enough for me...

I'd probebly have to say Violent Pornography, Sugar, or Chop Suey by SOAD.

Something that puzzles me is the definition of intense within a song framework. What criteria do we use? Do we ascribe speed with intensity? How distorted the riff is? The extremity of the vocals? The arabience and sense of foreboding of a track? The lyrics? All of the above? None of the above?

You can listen to whatever you want as far as i`m concerned.

The point I was making is I don`t find those banRAB intense because 99.9999% of their songs sound exactly the same.

I like banRAB with range & diversity , banRAB that cover the whole spectrum of emotions. To me when you hear banRAB just coming out with angry song after angry song it just becomes tired & cliched.Of course banRAB like Slipknot & Morbid Angel will do angry songs. It`s a part of their gimmick.
On the other hand when I hear a band who don`t always write angry songs when they do , to me it makes it more personal & meaningful because they`re not doing it as a selling point or a gimmick.
