The most INTENSE song ever?

I agree. Converge is intense in a face smashing way. GY!BE is intense in a holy **** nuclear borab hold-your-breath and wait for it to pass way.

Eyehategod! "Dopesick Jam", especially.
GODFLESH YES WAAAHAAA
Sleep's stuff.
Joy Division, Ian Curtis was an intense dude.
Dimmu Borgir's intense, but kind of annoying for me...
Leonard Cohen's old stuff had a subtle intensity goin' on, very claustrophobic and articulate.
Acid Bath and My Dying Bride, both their catalogs are a tylenol-popping kind of intensity.
Man, there's a lot of ****, really....
And I agree, it's not all about how hard or piercing the sound is, it's about delivery and content, too.

some ear pulpifyingly intense tunes are:

agoraphobic nosebleed - ceramic godproduct
brutal truth - prey
the dillinger escape place - sugar coated sour
anaal nathrakh - when humanity is cancer

intense but not ear destroying:

today is the day - temple of the morning star (acoustic)
mussorgsky - st john's night on the bare mountain
prokofiev - montagues & capulets
d

Carmina Burana is the most intense song ever.
Either that or Lilith by Bolcolm played by Don Sinta at U of M.

I swear, for something to be intense it has to be REAL talent, like crazy god-given talent. Not something that won't be remerabered.

everyone has there own taste in music, doesnt mean that because you dont like the same music as someone that their music is ****.

let people have there own opinion on music

I'm joking, of course. I'm just saying that cuz it's really fast, which of course, is an ignorant way to judge the intensity of the song.

Seriously though, At The Drive-In has made some pretty intense songs, namely:

Invalid Litter Dept. (The way it builRAB up at the end is amazing)
Catacorabs
Arcarsenal
Napoleon Solo
Cosmonaut

Indian Summer's Orchid is pretty intense as well.
