The Mentalist (Merged)

I agree Nightstar, I always liked Simon Baker in The Guardian..he doesn't overdo the acting...he tenRAB to draw you into the character and do believe I will be well and truly hooked after a few episodes :o

Hi mate, you're in luck :)

Series 1 is gonna be repeated on the Hallmark channel starting on Sunday 16th May at 4pm with the first 3 episodes, the following Sunday, (the 23rd) they show the next three episodes.

Raven

What swear worRAB? It's on network television in the US, so other than 'ass' and 'bastard' and perhaps 'bitch', there'll be no language that's even remotely offensive.

And she's in this weeks episode, and sporting a very dodgy accent, unlike her hubby who I didn't realize was Welsh until the behind-the-scenes programme was on Five.

This programme is certainly not as good as House is. There is no comparison. I do like The Mentalist, but Five have made a very bad decision when they chose this over House.

Thanks both of you for your help :D I'm so happy The Mentalist is still going strong but I wish they would promote it more too. Maybe they're thinking that since The Mentalist is doing well, they don't need to promote it as much as Flashfoward and are trying to rake in more viewers for that. But they should be promoting The Mentalist too, I'm sure there's tonnes of people who would be interested in it if they knew it existed.

It's young for such a senior position particularly considering how her team outranks wherever they end up investigating. Either she's ridiculously young to have worked her way up to it or she's been fast-tracked due to some innate natural and brilliant ability. The problem is that as second fiddle to Baker's character, the latter scenario is not supported in any way.

I liked the last episode. I thought the tension was good. I could see what was going to happen but I didn't care. And him being left there means it will play with his mind.

I don't think its Kristina, she is supposed to be psychic thats why she said she's gone over to the other place now.

I had an idea it would be something like Criminal MinRAB Darker more edge but its just can I say afternoon filler TV.

Hoped it would improve but no, I V+ Bones and feel like just skipping The Mentalist altogether.

new series? the first episode is a repeat from season 1:mad:and the next episode was shown as part of season 1 but now claims to be from season 2:confused:

Well I have seen 17 episodes and I am hooked. To me its the character of Jane and how he interacts with the team, that sets it above other crime shows. He enjoys winding people up. Cho (the Asian cop) is very deadpan, I think it works very well. There is one episode 'Crimson Casanova' episode 14 which contains a live action Quagmire (from Family Guy). Seriously, he looks like him and everything! He is equally pervy.
