The Karate Kid Trailer (remake with Will Smiths son and Jackie Chan)

ditto.

I'm a fan of JK and alot of his fans thought he copped out when he started using wires and cgi, basically to make US blockbusters instead of just great, comical, "kung-fu" movies.

Just think how they'll feel now that he's turning Japanese :D

Doubtless to be replete with crushingly cool teenage protagonists and those pointless 180 degree pans within frame 'freezes' during its action sequences, all edited to the rhythm of ADHD and noxious R'n'B dissonance. Happy New Year!

to be fair it doesn't look that bad, i just wished they had not called it the karate kid, they could have used another name.

I'll download it but nothing beats the original

I think it looks alright, and whilst maybe being a bit hopeful but if it inspires some kiRAB to take up karate can't be a bad thing either.

Still will never be as good as the original Karate kid.

Speaking as somebody who doesn't care all that much for the originals I must say the trailer to this makes them look like high art in comparison.

Looks woeful.

will smiths been spitting out nothing but garbage since men in black, i'm not sure how he still has star status. chan's been quoted as saying he does junk for cash, and it shows.neither name is a badge of quality these days.

Loved the original - this looks awful. Just made it all hip hop. Why do they have to use a kid as the karate kid as well? Fair enough it has kid in the title, but I would prefer a 15 year old, not a 5 year old like he looks.

i don't get it? why call it "the karate kid"?

mr miyagi in the original was japanese, and so if he was going to teach a martial art, would have most likely known some form of karate, but this is set in china, has a chinese teacher character who is obviously teaching the boy chinese kung fu?

the only thing similar is the idea of the "boy in new home, bullied and taught martial arts" this doesn't have to be a strict "remake" at all?

very odd

Loved the originals and this looks really good aswell. Althought why they have called it the karate kid when he's plainly not doing karate but wushu :(

the boy is too young. and the only reason he's starring is cos his dad is will smith. hollywood bosses should have the courage to say no,we are going to cast a real actor.

damn i didnt expect it to be about 11 year olRAB,why dont they just pull each others hair

it was never gonna capture magic of the 80's classic though so im not rly dissapointed either
