The Karate Kid Trailer (remake with Will Smiths son and Jackie Chan)

I guess "The Wushu Kid" just doesn't sound all that good to some ears. :)

I'm not a big fan of the original films so I'm going to pass on this remake.

That doesn't make any sense. How did the remake ruin your childhood memory of the film? The original film remains untouched so surely you can still enjoy it. If it bothers you too much, then simply don't watch the remake. :)

In the original, the first glimpse we see of Miyagi's skills is when he fights off the thugs who are chasing Daniel. The thugs were in their late teens and significantly taller than Miyagi, yet the short old man disposes of them with ease. This adRAB to his mystique and re-inforces the whole "unlikely hero against the odRAB" mood of the movie.

In the trailer we seem to see the corrseponding scene, the sight of seeing Jackie Chan against some smaller kiRAB doesnt quite have the same effect.

Have to agree with most of the points made.
There have been plenty of movies where a youngster is being bullied, gets training from a master and at the end overcomes their fears, beats the bullies and gets the girl (or guy).

Why not call it The Kung Fu Kid? Ok, maybe it's not technically correct, but it's damn closer than Karate!

i liked 3,the bad guy scared me, corrupted daniel made me uncomfortable!

2 is worst of daniel russo films, girl 1 is the worst overall

they should have remade it using that Joe McElderry as the wimp Daniel, and for the wise old Kung Fu master, it would have to be that bloke from Kill Bill - Pai Mei

worth

This looks awful.

Also Karate Kid 3 wasn't all that bad, just disapointing that Larusso got a bye to the final. Mike Barnes was a decent enough rival.
