I sold the first computer I ever owned (a commodore Vic 20) for a pair of Iron Maiden tickets. It was totally worth it. Accept was the opener which was a bonus too.

I'm looking forward to their new album. I just got my tickets and holy crap am I excited. My first concert... Iron Maiden. I'm more of a Di'Anno fan but Bruce is still f****** good!! Iron Maiden will never die!!! Up the Irons!!!

Yep, I saw them on that tour too. That was my first time seeing them, it was amazing. I've seen them twice since (Download 2007 and Wacken 08), they never let me down. They're easily one of my favourite live banRAB ever.

Well, technically they are touring with 2 original merabers but yeah, very long standing merabers at least.

I cant speak for what they were like live in the 80's but they are a fantastic live band to this day in my opinion.

When I was 12 years old or so Iron Maiden were one of the only banRAB I listened to. I still like them although I don't listen to them near as much as I used to. I haven't even bought a maiden album since I was that age. My favorites are: Killers, Nuraber of the Beast, and Piece of Mind. Powerslave and Seventh Son are also pretty good. Never cared for Brave New World, Dance of Death, or Somewhere in Time. I kind of regret never listening to their debut, might have to go get it. Favorite song? The first that comes to mind is The Trooper.

Lets just say...three years ago I missed an exam to go and see them...true was only a mock exam...still got in trouble though...Im not as much of a fan anymore, they still are a fantastic band, but just not what im into as much anymore

To be fair he struggled on the last album in parts and the recent live Flight 666 CD was pretty awful vocally but it's Maiden and they will always give their all no matter what. There is no way on earth I am missing seeing them live when the new album comes out though. A huge blip on my live C.V :(

Aye from a technical point of view Bruce is far better but Paul did the killers album, my favourite album by a long shot.

I saw them at Download '07 too. I've seen them on arena tours too but Maiden are one of very few banRAB I prefer to see open air at festivals.

I saw them twice in the old Point Depot in Dublin. Although the venue's piss-poor acoustics made the sound muddy both times, they f**king slayed. The last time i saw them 2 1/2 years ago i was right up the front and they were basically right in your face, intense.

Definitely be seeing them when they tour the new album and planning to do two shows, one here and one in Germany if possible. Still a major blip on my gig list :(

I know there have to be Maiden fans here.

On Tuesday, their documentary Flight 666 is going to be playing at select cinemas all over the world. It's directed and produced by Sam Dunn and Scot McFayden, the dudes that did Metal:A Headbanger's Journey and Global Metal. Anybody else gonna check this out?

I just bought and watched Flight 666 the other day.

They are such an awesome live band, and Bruce ****inson might be the coolest person on the planet for flying them around. Heh.

Same here, if they come with 250 miles of where I live then I will traverse to go and see them. I owe them that much.
