Because a little fun ends up with people trying to relate unrelated topics. Like increasing taxes on oil...even though BP is going to foot the bill for the clean-up.

I dont see why they just didnt blow the damn hole up day 1. Shit, the Russians have used small tactical bombs to fill holes when they big for oil and they get a leak they can't cap.
 
I dunno, maybe companies donate shitloads to politicians who then turn around and give those companies exemptions?
 
i find this entire thing comical. so there was a fuck up in the gulf, it will get fixed. but dont act like yours and everyone elses lives dont depend on cheap oil to be available. of course i dont want to see the environment impacted in a negative way, but over regulation is not the answer.
 
of course we need more regulation. bush era lax regulators are to blame for this (and bp of course).

and thus private companies can operate how they see fit...thats less government in action..whats the problem?
 
because as you know, exemptions go to those who pay off the politicians while others are stuck with the government restrictions.

which is what happened with BP and Obama. But you already knew this.
