I heard something about a second Goonies film going into production, the storyline revolving around the orginial Goonies children and their adventures. Has anyone else heard this?

Anyone here a fan of the 1985 movie The Goonies?. I love this film and got it on DVD not long ago, it brings back alot of child hood memorys.
The Goonies is a great film and great to have the dvd with all the extras and the dvd is the full version of the movie and not the cut one thats was shown in UK at the pictures and thats shown on tv. :D
Wow carnt belive the movie is now 20 years old.

I've always loved the Goonies and wished I could be one too! Fabulous film. I bet someone will try to do a re-make... I hope not

I used to quite fancy Sean when I was little as well, hehe. The actor's not bad lookin now either :o

Some say it was always on the carRAB, but as the kliRAB grew older Speilberg grew wiser.

Sean Astin, Joe Pantileoni and Josh Brolin are quite big stars so fitting it in might be difficult
Chunk slimmed down
Feldman still a little wired from his drug days
The girls didn;t look after themselves to compete with the Hollywood trend of looks first and if they have talent even better.
Sloth died, as did Mama Forelli
Jonathon Ke Yu Quan quit acting a while back I think

Oh yeah and One Eyed Willy sailed away.... :(

Seen this film sooo many times but don't have the DVD.

What extras do you get?

I swear that weekend at bernies came out a week before Batman making it the first 12 certificate film, i wish i could have an official release date of that film so id know

The extras are cool you get

Troy teaseing the goonie kiRAB in a shop,
and remember at the end of the movie when data says there was a big octopus well on the dvd you get to see the octopus part that was cut out of the movie.
You also get
Audio commentary from the cast through the film, thats cool
The Making of the goonies
Movie Trailer
Deleted scenes as above
And good enough music video from film :D

The Goonies is on TG 4 on Wednesday at around 9pm or so if anyone in Ireland is interested in watching it.

As far as the 12 certificate goes, Batman was indeed the first film with a 12 certificate. This is even stated on the official BBFC website.
Batman was classified by the BBFC on 22nd August 1989.
Weekend At Bernies was classified by the BBFC on 29th September 1989.
Both films were 12 when released in cinemas, but are both still 15's on video.

Paddy :D

Pretty sure I saw this recently on tv before today... Even somehow remember the EPG synopsis being the same.

Not sure if it was TCM though as previously mentioned.
