The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Yes it really looked like a martial arts vampire film from the trailer... and I like how trailers don't show that it's subtitled, get people into the cinema who wouldn't otherwise because they can't be bothered with subtitles. Serves you right. :p :p

I remember seeing the trailer and thinking it looked awful and you couldn't pay me to see it!

Loved it though. Very compelling.

Great movie, second one, The Girl Who Played With Fire, not quite as absorbing. Haven't seen third one, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, yet.
Noomi Rapace must have the nerve and stamina of a Marine.
I wonder if she's related to Ola Rapace from Wallander? IMDb is silent on the subject.

not a case of subtitles I was totally mislead and the film droned on for 152 minute and it had nothing to do wiht a dragon tatoo totally cheated:mad::mad::mad::mad: and I knew
the girl would turn up alive

I liked it, it's not the amazing film it's made out to be though. I think Rapace who played Salender is perfect but some scenes her acting was a bit cheesy. Also glad they missed some things out of the book, nothing important. But was incredibly boring to read those parts in the book.

I've yet to see the second film since the dvd isn't avaliable where I get them from, and I don't like watching pirate films.

The second book is more action packed/thriller, the third contains a lot of court scenes.

There is an American remake on the way.

Watched this yesterday, very good film, I hadn't heard anything about it before or the novel series. A really impressive watch, I think, sad to hear from most reports that the next two are somewhat less so.

So far TGWKTHN looks to be just as good as the other two, even with subtitles which seem to have been written by a gibbon using predictive text.
Noomi Rapace is the daughter of Ola Rapace from "Wallander".

I haven't seen it yet but plan to, having read the book.

Subtitles don't bother me a bit and i still plan on seeing the film, but I only found out by chance that it was a foreign language film.
