Yeah I see the logic but she had no purpose in the film at all the chap could have investigated himself...... and why was she hacking into computer and she was clearly inot women so why was she shagging him... so we could see the tatoo?
I know the question's been answered, but imdb does state that she is Ola Rapace's spouse, and his imdb entry state's that he is her spouse. imdb also states they have two children.
It's worth bearing in mind that this movie, although a stand- alone feature at the moment, is actually the first part of a trilogy which tells the complete story.
Watched this on Friday after bunking off work early. I was gripped throughout. Thought it was very good and have ordered the three books on the back of it.
It's only called The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in English speaking countries. The book is actually called Man Som Hattar Kvinnor, which means Men who Hate Women.
I don't know why they changed the name for the English Language books. They probably named the film the same because the book's translation was so popular outside of Sweden.
I've only read the first one out of the Millenium series, but the film isn't a patch on the book, although I thought it was edited quite well to condense it.
Agreed, especially the first one and about to order the other two in the series.
Just got back from seeing it. Really enjoyed it, very gripping storyline.
Gotta love the loud mouth tossers that came into my screening though. 15 minutes in "is this all in f*ckin' Swedish?!?" was shouted from the back row, before they all got up and walked out I was actually quite surprised that they had the brain power to know what language it was tbh...
Loved this movie - totally loved it! Saw it in Florida last week and went again the next day it was that good!
Could not get on with the book but am going to try again.
anyone not knowing this is subtitled is a bit of an idiot sorry. (as is anyone who doesnt like subtitles). who the f goes to see a film withouth actually finding SOMETHING out about it before hand?
ugh like those awful people who hold the queue up - 'whats this one about / whats that one about..'
the film is good but not as great as the book
why on earth they go into what she did to her father at the end is beyond me - its the main mystery of the 2nd book!!
i am aware though that in sweden this was on at the cinema and the next 2 were just tv films
