I am addressing the current trend of taking pictures of every social situation, to show we are fully-functioning members of society...

Anyone who has been to a concert in the last few years will testify as to how annoying it is when every second person in the row in front is waving a camera or camera phone about.

I have seen numerous examples in London of people falling over, or arguing in the street - instead of trying to appease or help their fellow man, people just whip out their camera-phone.

Is it slightly ironic that in a society which we complain about being monitored and surveyed by CCTV, we ourselves are filming and picturing every nondescript event in our lives, from having a pint to sleeping.

Do you tire, or are you worried to what extent this 'paparazzi culture' will permeate our everyday lives?

Or, are you a happy snapper?

What you say is partially true. Yes there are people out there who enjoy taking pictures of almost every single thing. Yet at the same time saying that is going too far. You are simply forgetting the fundamentals of a photograph. Just that in this age, it is there for everyone to see...

I concur, I recently had a party where most of the girls there spent thier time taking photos of how awesome it was to be there.

It is a test to your decision.

You should make up your mind before going to any event. Anyway, you can place yourself as an observer.

If you are a big cheese, you can demand that photo-taker to erase your picture; otherwise, you can place any law-suit.

very true, the same people that complain about government databases and ID cards also willingly put every detail about themselves online.
