If it turns out to be true, will you be locking yourself in the toilet in much the same way as St.Cliff did when he lost to Lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala?
I love the fact that in 2008 the audience couldn't care less about the UK or Lithuania's songs but they go absolutely crazy when a single word of Serbian is uttered by them right at the end (Lithuania especially)!
And you've got to appreciate the way Czech 2008 fools you into thinking you're about to hear an alternative and special song and then it morphs into the horror that it actually is. And the dancing is hysterical. It is literally like a primary school gymnastics lesson. Especially the bit where it all slows down and those two dancers come and simply put their hanRAB together around her. Brilliant.
I agree... anything that you would have thought... "Wow... that would be perfect for Eurovision!" But nothing that has been intended for Eurovision, no instrumentals and no songs that are going to take a week to listen to lol! I have my 2 songs already! Just not sure which one to do first lol! I've cast aside a fairly obvious choice in the hope someone else will choose it!
In other news... I've sent my votes. Listening to the list though... can anyone else hear the slight similarities between Marija Magdalena and Canta Por Mim?
So in the top 3 we have Kylie Minogue, Vanessa Amorosi and Tarkan!
Will BBAnne win the contest and host the next one (has that ever happened?), will Jaccobabe take the crown, or will I do an Ireland and win a contest I am hosting? Lets find out....
Did you see David Van Day on the left? It's videos like that which prove that celebrity alone cannot reverse the signs of ageing (although, to be fair, I looked very different in 1975 to what I do now!)
I just looked at his Wikipedia article, looked like he was a major star in Macedonia. It's a shame that there was no mention of him during Eurovision 2008 despite all the public demand and the fact that it was held in a balkan country.
oh bugga! I think you could be right. That would be a real shame as the past 2 years they have put on a fantastic set of shows even if in the first year they ended up with a Banshee wailing for them and this year they found the world's most nervous public performer.
Speaking of performers, I popped back to the Swiss submission site to see what new delights may have been uploaded and came across this star in waiting........
Sorry, but I have just discovered this AMAZING cover of 'Satellite' by an American indie band, can you imagine if this version was sent into Eurovision? It would have totally owned the stage!
