She is way better than the song and shows what a good singer can do with a not so good song. As for not being a bigger star, it could all have been so different. This result is such a fix but there was no way Linda Eder was going to lose.

Surely Christer should have LaGaylia on his wish list rather than the likes of Lili & Susie who would undoubtedly bite off his hand (if they've any teeth left) to be a part of Melodifestivalen 2011.......no offence to whoever picked them :o

True. I watched this online in Kobe, and hadn't heard any of the songs before the actual final, and was a bit depressed after the first 4 songs. Did get better after a while, though :)
 
I love this song, it is poppy but still displays some national identity to it also. It was like two fingers up to the conservative Israeli establishment and the Syrian flags were a memorable touch. It is one of those Eurovision moments that keeps us happy! So in the eternal message of Ping Pong - Be happy! It does me when I listen to it.
 
First time in this section and I headed straight for this thread!

My favorite Eurovision is 1989, some brilliant songs. You, I'm sure you know can watch them on youtube. Recomend bigtime the Spanish song which should have won it, the UK song which came second was very good as well as was the french one and the Austrian one I think it was, Thomas something with blonde spiky hair and thr danish one.

If I was Simon Cowell, i'd try and get the rights to re release the Austrian and Spanish songs or get the original singers to do it even now.

The yugoslavian one which won, was rubbish but its the kind of Eurovision song that EV loves!
 
Whoa! How many of these fantasy versions are you guys going for? I only really signed on for one and got roped into the second, but I highly doubt I'd be able to keep up for a few more!

Aha! That would explain a lot - no-one has yet picked Rodolfo or the Irish puppet (and I have 18 entries so far). Great minRAB think alike?

15 have had their first choice, 2 their second choice, and one changed his/her mind, so nearly all of you have different views of what songs are only fit for the toilet.
