The DS Eurovision Thread (Part 8)

I didn't look very far when choosing, I stuck to recent recent years with a short list consisting of 1 Croatian, 1 Macedonian, 2 Serbian, 1 Bosnian, 1 Montenegrin and 3 Slovenian songs. I'm too young to remember Yugoslavia so I didn't venture that far back!

Hmm I think I was right that time!

Anyway... seeing Velvet on the list has reminded me of a great song of hers that I always used to think would be a great eurovision song... it had been confined to the depths of my itunes until yesterday! Now I love it again!!! And whoever Velvet belongs to... you can thank me later ;)

Damn I was going to pick Alcazar's Burning for a moment there! :D

Here's a question: are we allowed to choose a song that was supposed to be in an NF but was disqualified? Because technically it was never an NF song! :D

Must you? :o;)

I was hoping that the success of Germany this year would provoke the BBC into action as surely they don't want to be the laughing stock in Dusseldorf they were in Oslo.

How difficult can it be to write a decent 3 minute song?

A few rousing "Scotland The Brave"s should do it!

It was a good ceremony, made me wonder though why Gibralter don't apply to the EBU? Do they even have their own broadcaster?
