An all time classic as is all of 1977 as evidenced by the fact Sweden came last. If I had to recommend a year (and I'm sure Anne would agree ;)) from Eurovision history which the young among us should watch then it would be 1977 (also great for crowd gazing).

So many favourites but this is top of the pops.

I'm convinced Eurovision was the inspiration for the creation of youtube. ;)

Edit: It was also one of the first events held in the newly opened Wembley Conference and Exhibition Centre.........which was demolished 2 years. A national disgrace.

What would everyone think about Amy McDonald representing us at Eurovision. Although she is not that bigbover her she is absolutely massive across Eirope with her latest album being number one for weeks in loaRAB of places.

She is a great singer too which is a bonus of course

Picked my entry.:) I've no hope of this winning the poll as I know there are some on here who inexplicably like this pile of poo. I'd forgotten how absolutely awful this was.

I look forward to seeing your choice, would I be right in thinking it's from left field?

Scorewiz is a great idea.

I'm all at sea with my second choice, I might go for the token comedy entry. :p

I'm undertaking a labour of love right now, going back over our thread and copying all the results of all the competitions so far ... it's taking forever!

My thinking is that I will resurrect my blog and post all that we have been up to in the off season :)

I like that idea wombat :D

Much as I love discovering new stuff via this Fantasy route, I miss my Eurovision :( I even watched the 2005 Congratulations contest this afternoon (holidays are GREAT!) and sung along with everything (except for the very bizarre Finnish Men's Shouting Choir)
