The Descent --- Am I the only one who think it is BRILLIANT?!

I thought it was hilarious, admitted I watched it with frienRAB very late at night after a (ahem) few drinks - we spent most of the film making bets on who would get it next and then cheering when they did!

To whoever was going to watch The Cave - don't! I watched this sober and it was a HUGE pile of poo!

I don't understand what everyone is raving about.

I watched it on Sky Box Office and managed to watch an hour of women pot-holing before I fell asleep.

Does it suddenly pick up?

I can't say I was overly impressed with it.

The "dream" bit at the end - a cop out in my opinion (I hear the US version has a different ending?

It was very slow to get into, then the whole can't see you but can only hear you thing has been done loaRAB.

It was alright, just nothing really special

Are you joking?!

You need to watch past the caving part - it certainly picks up and moves in a direction you would never think...

I didn't think much of The Descent, tbh. I didn't like the way the caves and tunnels were tiny and hard to get through and then suddenly became big enough to run around in when the action started. Preferred Neil Marshall's first film, Dog Soldiers, that had some good black comedy in it.

I was drunk and fell asleep. From what I saw I couldn't see the appeal. Last thing I remember was a thing that looked like Gollum scuttling about.

I shall give it another go.

I thought it was a very poor film. Silly monsters, silly behaviour and 'oh my God, what is that? OH MY GOD, WHAT IS THAT?!' style acting.

And how come a bunch of pot holing enthusiasts become hand to hand combat specialists? But this isn't the only film guilty of that flaw.

just watched my CH4 recording form yesterday and boy that was terrific film.
it's been on my 'to-watch list for years and i'm glad I have and that ending was perfect.
I hope she died in the cave as that would have given Sarah closure, the fact she knifed her love rival was perfect and the way she went badass was a great transformation.

I thought it was the most frightening film I'd seen since The Blair Witch Project.

Superbly done - and you'd never had thought all the cave scenes were done in a studio.

Yeah, it[s a terrific film, genuinely creepy with some incredible horror monsters. I remember seeing it in the cinema, and it played out tremendously well there; really, really shone. Looking forward to see how the sequel plays out.
