The soundtrack is fantastic. The Dropkick Murphy's "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" is absolutely perfect.

I also really love the Rogers Waters featuring Van Morrison & The Band "Comfortably Numb" It's perfect in the scene between Billy and Madolyn at her house.

hey there all.

I am looking for downloadable 'Departed' clips. Preferably the first scene with JN anyone know where I can find some???

Absolutely best movie of the year so far. I was so psyched for this, with all the great actors, so I'm glad it lived up to its hype. Gritty, raw, suspenseful, funny, and shocking... It had it all. Of all the great actors I was most interested in seeing Leo in this movie (though Matt Damon damn near stole the movie) and he was great... The subtle nuances made his performance and the intensity was compelling. Mark Wahlberg was a great scene-stealer and everyone really stepped up their game.

I think the mark of a GREAT movie is that you don't notice the running time. I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie. Can't wait to see it again. I definitely see Oscar noms coming.

 Yes, it was very funny. I watched it again tonight.. and got my mom to rewatch it too.

But thinking about everything that was left unanswered and such.. I honestly wouldn't mind the sequel. I mean, I still don't know what it would be about... like how they would make a whole movie out of it... and it probably wont be as good as The Departed, but I would watch it. ;) Even without Leo. :bawl:

Yeah I heard a sequel in a Mark Whalberg interview..it'd only have him, the woman and Alec Baldwin...

The movie was very witty in adult humor

Before seeing Music and Lyrics & Children of Men, this was my only favorite new movie. It still is a favorite new (old, sort of) movie .. but .. man. When I saw this, it blew my mind away. I was so upset about Leo dying (I've been rooting for him to live since Titanic  But that's just me), but it was so well done. I downloaded the Flogging Molly song (who I loved beforehand), and when I work out, the best song to listen to is "I'm Shipping Up to Boston," which is the theme song for the movie. It's the best motivational song, ever. And I just think of the movie, and it makes me want to see it so badly.

I can't buy the DVD's yet, though. I'm going to London in May, and I need to basically save up everything I make from now until then. So the Departed will just have to wait until June 9. Maybe I can ask for it for my birthday (June 10th). Heh.

One scene I'm totally loving is Colin & Madolyn's first date. It was just great. Good energy, enough attraction, great lines, etc, etc. I've watched it many times now.

I think that Martin might have been a surprise actor in it and no one knew til you looked at the trailers, that's what happened to me when I saw the trailers, I didn't even know Martin was in it until then

Baby, I thought it was Billy's as well, Rockstar agree with you abuot Mark, he was just awesome as well, they all were

I'll definitely go see this. It's not one I'm super excited about seeing, but I think it will be good.

Love Wahlberg..............so talented. He was off the radar for ahwile. Glad to see him in so many upcoming projects.

It was so funny! I loved how the movie was so intense and had these really serious things going on, yet I was constantly laughing. Not like falling out of my seat comedy, but it still made me laugh, it still had the romance parts, and it was still the intense, violent, drama it was supposed to be.

I really don't see what the sequel would be about? Just Mark Wahlberg and maybe Vera Farmiga's characters? Everyone else died. And Leo wouldn't be on it. :bawl:
