I loved the ending...and I was just happy that Colin didn't get away with everything.

Well it was a tough year in the best actor department for Leo, but Mark definately had a chance to win, aside from that Matt and Jack should hae also been nominated!

The film should definitely win a few Oscars. If it doesn't, I'll be quite upset. And I agree with the poster that said it's a good movie when you don't notice how long you've been sitting in the theatre. Normally, I check my phone for the time at least twice. This time, I barely bothered to take my eyes off the screen.

I agree, it was great the movie got 4/5 oscars, so glad for Marty! shame for Mark though, he was amazing!

It was terribly clever, that scene. It was funny, charming, very organic. Ahhh. I feel like watching it right now.

Of course, I prefer Billy/Madolyn. Not a second thought. But what a great scene.

I was sort of glad because I didn't want Matt's character to get away with it, although I was thinking oh crickey I forgot about Mark's character

I know! That was the biggest bummer for me. :( He truly deserves it and I just hope and believe that he will get it one day. He certainly has potential to win cos he's excellent in every single role.

I literally just got back from watching this movie and all I can say is HOLY !#$@%!!!!!!!! This was one of the best movies that I have seen in years! I'm not a huge fan of gangster/violent films, but I thought that Scorcese did a great job of showing how the death and tragedy of their circumstances impacted both Leo and Matt's characters. And the last fifteen minutes left me a puddle on the floor; after Martin Sheen's character (Queenan?) died I was shocked, but the whole elevator scene in the last fifteen minutes left me a puddle on the floor.

I also came away really impressed with all of the actors, particularly Leonardo Dicaprio. I got an adrenaline rush watching him and I could feel his character's tension and fear in every scene. And Mark Wahlberg's detective was a scene stealer - the man's come a long way since those Calvin Klein ads in the 90's.

When I read about the sequel, I had a short blonde moment and I was wondering if Leo's gonna be in it too. Then I remembered that oh yeah, his character died in the movie. :goof:

Oh that's too bad. Maybe on a later collector's edition? I'm hoping, I'd really like to get into the thick of the story more. Great, great movie.

It sucks that Leo got nothing AGAIN! he will soon...he;s deserved it everytime hes been nom'd and he so should have been nom'd for Departed as well as BD...

owell he will be around for many years to come...

This movie was fantastic, I'm so glad that it won at the Oscar's. Just sad that Leo and Mark didn't win! :)
