The Dark Knight SPOILER thread **Do NOT read if you've not seen it**

Sorry brangdon I'm going to use Spoiler Tags again I'm afraid:o.

The reason is because what me and Listentome are talking about might be a Spoiler for who's the Villian in the 3rd Film in that Linked Interview. I personally don't really think it's a Spoiler anyway but you know what the Forums like, you just can't win! Better safe then sorry I say.

Well, that's my explaination anyway:).

Well, you pretty much know what my views on Two-Face are anyway and it's hoping that he lived and will be returning to the 3rd Film. Like you I too think there are far more clues pointing to him living rather than dying IMHO. I'm just basically going round in circles so I'm going to leave it there for now.

I will say this though, the only time we will truely find out whether he lived or not is when the 3rd Film comes so fingers crossed that he lived (I hope).

Well, "Batman Begins" is IMO the best Superhero Origin Story made. They did such a brilliant with Bruce's Character development there so that's why I wasn't really too bothered that "The Dark Knight" wasn't really about him too much and was more of The Joker's Story & Harvey Dent's/Two-Face Story.

And let's face it, The Joker & Harvey Dent/Two-Face are IMO one of the 2 biggest Characters in whole The "Batman" Universe anyway so it's only fair to give these 2 a big Story too. (Then again The Joker & Harvey Dent/Two-Face are both my joint favorite Villians so I'm probably being slightly biased here:o).

Besides given the way "The Dark Knight" ended I think the 3rd Film will be about Bruce Wayne/Batman again anyway so I don't think anyone neeRAB to worry too much really:).

As for the whole Rachel thing ahh well, it's only Rachel:p:D! Nah just kidding I'm not THAT mean. On a serious note yeah I do think they could've made Bruce a lot more upset than he was really. Now I'm not dissing the Writing BTW because IMO this is one of the greatest Films ever made however, no Film is perfect and this part was their flaw. Other than that they did a beautiful job with the Writing:).

Yay Selina Kyle/Catwoman! I really want her to return too:D!

Screw Rachel! Who neeRAB her when Selina Kyle/Catwoman is 10X the better love intreast than Rachel will ever be IMO.

Now I really don't know if Selina Kyle/Catwoman actually counts as a Villian (she's always either a Villian or an Anti-Hero I really don't know) but if she does count as a Villian then I have to say she's my 2nd favorite after The Joker & Harvey Dent/Two-Face:cool:.

I really don't know if Nolan will bring her back at all though, I just hope he does.

P.S. I really am sorry Rachel Fans I tried to like her really I did hell I even WANTED to like her but I just couldn't warm to her at all I'm afraid:(.

Just too much of a perfect goody 2 shoes for my liking IMHO.

Can't grasp how anyone can think Dent isn't dead at the end of this film. Seems like pure wishful thinking and willful ignorance of the facts.

I watched this on Blu Ray yesterday (picked up the Region 3 version).

I actually enjoyed it much more the second time round (saw it in the cinema originally). It's fast becoming my film of the year.

And the IMAX sequences are incredible, particularly the opening robbery sequence. Huge Michael Mann/Heat/Thief influence going on there, for sure.

And I don't mean this in a disparaging way, but I don't consider this a superhero movie - it's a crime thriller.

Batman is not a superhero, he has no powers, he has no genetic mutation, he is just a man. A rich and powerful and somewhat driven man, with access to lots of cool weapons and toys, to be sure.

But he is very human, very conflicted and as fallible as anyone else.

Remember that the Batman character was introduced way back in the 30's in DC comics - DC standing for Detective Comics. The emphasis back then was very much on detecting methoRAB and solving crime. But in order to effectively arrest criminals and have an advantage over them, the disguise of the 'Bat-man' was born, which also served as a way to strike fear into the hearts of criminals.

Nolan's movies do hark back to that original concept, it grounRAB the character in reality and creates a verisimilitude that benefits the movies enormously.
