The Dark Knight SPOILER thread **Do NOT read if you've not seen it**

Sorry to Revive this Thread once again but I've just listened John Nolan's great Interview and I've thought you guys might be intrested in it. It's a long Interview but worth a listen IMO:). I would've started another Thread but there's too many "The Dark Knight" ThreaRAB at the mo so it'll be pretty pointless to start a new one when there's already an existing one really.

The only thing that annoyed in that Interview is that John Nolan just won't say whether Two-Face is dead or not:mad:! He didn't confirm or deny it and I really want to know:cry::o! Oh well, never mind:o.

But other than that it's a fantastic Interview, enjoy:)!

Just read it, thanks for that great Interview Listentome:). It was a very intresting read.

What I'm going to say I really don't think are Spoilers but I'll put in Spoilers Caps anyway because you know what the Forums like, damned if you do damned if you don't.
I have to say agree with that Interviewer when he said that it's best that they don't Recast The Joker no matter how brilliant a Villian he is because lets face it, I doubt we'll see anyone top Ledger's performance in a very, VERY long time IMO.

I however disagreed with the Interviewer about Two-Face. Personally I really don't think his Story is fininshed yet and I'd like to see more of him but then that's my opinion. Saying that I can see where he's coming from about Two-Face though which was a really good point I must say:). Dear God the sooner 3rd Film comes the better, it'll finally put my mind to rest about Two-Face. I really do need to get over it:o.
So all in all an intresting Interview, again thanks for the Link:).

P.S. I do agree with you about Poison Ivy, Bane and Mr. Freeze BTW. All I ask is why:rolleyes:?

Thank God Nolan managed to save Two-Face for us but I doubt he'll be able save those 3 unfornately:(.

Well actually Bane COULD still be saved but I really don't think Nolan will use him anytime soon. Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze on the other hand however definately not.

I'm sorry, but I really don't see it this way. Part of the strength of the Harvey Dent/Two Face character was seeing how he got to where he did, not what he did afterwarRAB. Anything they do with him now would just seem a bit repetitive really, I think his story was pretty much done by the end. Plus it would be a bit cheap and '24 esque' to resurrect him now. Something more fitting for the Joel Schumacher Batman films.

Your point 6 is interesting, because I think that was rather the whole point of the last scene. The Joker had forced Batman to become something he really didn't want to be, a killer. It's the final straw for him, and makes him realise that he has to either get out of the game or start going down the slippery slope that Harvey did. Hence his decision to accept the blame for the killings and maintain Harvey's good reputation.

Anyway, personally I think that the third film should start with a new slate and avoid focussing to much on the villains in this film, or it might just turn out to be a rehash, and I think Nolan can do better than that.

That was a great film and if you thought it was long in the cinema then how about the special extended edition DVD which is even longer.

And didnt once think abou the time during the Dark Knight as loved every minute of it.

If there is a third film (and I pretty much would bet my life savings on there being one) I think Nolan should stay clear of using villians which have been used in the 90's films.

Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler, Freeze etc are all good characters but I'd rather see something fresh. That's what was so good about Begins in that we'd never seen The Scarecrow in a film before.

The entire shooting script is available to read in the book The Art Of The Dark Knight.Plus theres some concept Joker pictures. The first one is horrible with all the cuts and stitching on his face. Its like something out of a Texas Chainsaw Massacre book. There are pics online.

I really don't get the whole 'confusing plot' argument. And i've seen it two or three places on the internet about the kidnapping of Rachel and Dent. Correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't the Joker working WITH the Mafia at one point?

Also I have seen numerous people say there's a specific point where the film should end but it kept going but I didn't notice it, and i've seen the movie twice now.

i hated JN as the joker - purely personal opinion though

i thought michelle pfeiffer was outstanding and and her story and relationship with batman and bruce was brilliant and perverse - im not sure it could be bettered (though if anyone can, chros nolan can)

Hi Archaon:).

You've made some really intresting points and I can see where you're coming from however; I just have a really funny feeling he's not dead. There just seems to be more clues pointing to him living rather than dying but then again the ending really isn't that clear.

I also didn't think his Story was that finished either really and I do think there's so much more the could do with him but then that's just me:).

I guess the only way we will find out whether he lived or not is with the 3rd Film. Personally I really do hope he did live but again that's just me:).

P.S. I don't think anything will ever be as bad Joel Schumacher's Versions BTW:p:D!
