The Dark Knight SPOILER thread **Do NOT read if you've not seen it**

The movie is number 1 in its 4th week taking in over 28 million. It has supassed Shrek 2 and is now number 3 on the all time best sellers.Next one to top is Star Wars. With its total now at $441.5 million it neeRAB to make around another $20 million to be in second place to Titanic....Warner Bros are still saying it will take in $520 million in the US alone.

Im not sure it will reach Titanics $600 million baring in mind the DVD comes out in November.....Titanic was in cinemas for over 7 MONTHS!!!!!. The Dark Knight wont have nearly as much time in the cinemas to come close to the target needed to beat Titanic.

Doesnt stop you all going out and watching it again though, we can still help its worldwide gross!

bit of a random and slightly tenuious theory here, but does anyone think the kid who played gary oldmans son, might be lined up to become robin??? just he seemed to feature a few times rather unecessarily in my opinion, also his line at the end, about how batman is good really and all that.

like i said its a bit of a shot in the dark kind of theory, specially as no one (including bale, wants to see robin in it)

AHA!! Yes, I know which part of the film you mean! :D I thought it was meant to be something in an actual body bag at the end, so was wondering what had happened to it!

Thanks for that; it had really stumped me! :)

I think I heard somewhere that they cut a scene with the Joker in a body bag out (for obvious reasons) but I don't know for sure.

Anyway, the film was great, but mostly because of the Joker. What a waste of talent. :(

Finally watched TDK today and I really didn't expect to enjoy it, since I've always hated superhero movies and found them in general to be cheesy, boring rubbish.

I did love it though. It was such a wonderful change to watch an action blockbuster with a plot and themes that were actually explored intelligently AND good action sequences. It was dark and gritty and the acting was all top class, as was the writing and directing and I thought it was beautifully shot.

It was long, but I honestly didn't notice, it could have been hours longer and I wouldn't have cared. And with all the things going on it should have been a mess, but it was put together so skillfully. Very glad I watched.

I left the cinema last night and thought....where's the ending? Without closure with some of the main story arc, I left feeling somewhat unfulfilled...

Is it just me?

Ooh that senRAB shivers down my spine! Such a good ending, love the music it was said over.

Went to see it first time on Saturday and loved it, watched it again last night.

I must be the only one who thinks Bale's Batman voice is sexy :o

claire2281 can I just say hand on heart that was the best Reveiw I have ever read:D! 100% agree with everything that you've said:)(although with Gordon I kept thinking "Is he really dead? Doesn't seem like it:confused:!").

Certainly is MUCH better than my Reveiw! Why can't my Reveiws ever be that good:o?

I thought the son wasn't featured any more than the wife, so it may just have been to add depth to Gordon's character.

However, on a similar note, I thought it was strange how they referenced the sister and showed the back of her head, but they never showed a good look at her. I thought that might be because Barbara Gordon is batgirl (at least some versions of the character), and they didn't want to cast the role since they have no plans to use it but want their options open for the character later on.

I have to agree. Heath was outstanding as Joker but for me, Two-Face was a far better villain and I wanted to see his story more than Batman/Joker. It was because we saw him turn into a monster and we saw his reasons. This made him so much more interesting. I really really hope Two-Face is back in the third movie, he has so much more to give. I wouldn't mind seeing him with The Riddler aswell. ;)

I loved Gordon is this film aswell, really came into his own and you cared about him.

believe it or not, joker clapping upon hearing the promotion was improvised by heath ledger. nolan continued filming.

seemed so natural...

great movie, glad i got to see it in the imax!

I'm a big Heath Ledger fan but tbh I wasn't one for jumping on the 'give him an oscar' bandwagon BUT, since seeing the film it's clear he totally stole the show imo. Way better than Batman.

I thought I read somewhere that they cut the scene where the Joker was killed off too? Maybe not. I do hope two face returns though...
