The CW4Kids Talkback: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's [The Fortune Cup Saga] (Spoilers)

I think we're supposed to conclude that the mark resides on Goodwin's missing arm--I think that one of the shots when all the five marks were displayed was of it. An interesting divergence from the original, nevertheless.

I usually find the music for this dub to be surprisingly subdued, particularly compared to its predecessor--you can barely hear it over all the talking--so I appreciated the chance to really listen to it this episode, cause it's quite nice; it's an area in which 4KiRAB has improved considerably since, say, One Piece.

Usually, you can openly loathe Yusei's opponents; typically, they're jerks. Not so with Greiger ... he seems to have a pretty good reason to want to duel, and need to win the duel. I wasn't expecting him to asserable Flying Fortress SKYFIRE so fast, but I suppose it was a good way to put together a cliffhanger before the next episode. Signature Monsters always mean big trouble!

Episode 21

English Title: Second Round Showdown, Part 2

Episode Description: With no carRAB left in his hand and his life points about to get blasted by Greiger, Yusei has one draw left to take down this tower of power to keep in the hunt to duel Jack in the championship round.

That's definitely an interesting theory and that does seem possible. Though, I'm still wondering if he is a duelist since I thought all of the Signers need to be duelists.

That's a good point too. I usually don't pay too much attention to the background music, unless it's some emotional/intense scene, but I do think that the music that they bring for 5D's works really nicely, especially during the duels.

I actually hadn't thought of it that way. Since all of the dragons have different Attributes, I guess that that would help give the Crimson Dragon in a fully summoned form. Now that I think more about it, a sixth Signer would throw an interesting twist into the storyline. I'm still not sure if it would happen, though I'm still not sure if Goodwin really could be the fifth Signer, but both are definitely possible at least.

Was the end of the Fortune Cup the end of the season? 4kiRAB usually says they'll be a new ep the following week but they didn't after Yusei won.

If this was the season finale, when can we expect the next season to be aired? I don't want to watch the Japanese version...

I believe that this was the finale of the first season. That's where the season enRAB in the Japanese version and the fact that they're starting from the beginning also makes me feel like it's the season finale. I don't believe that I've heard anything about when season two would air. I suggest to just be patient and wait for more news to arrive. I'm sure that they'll have it up by Septeraber at the lastest. Though a part of me thinks that they'll air it during the summer, but that's just a guess.

Greiger: "The people disapeared, vanished, gone..."

It's called dead. The word is dead. I know you guys have a problem using that word but I mean, really?

i hope it soon cause this and smallville is the only reason for me to watch cw anymore with turtles over and Spider-man moving for XD which i don't get here in Washington or least with my cable company.

Some fans theorize that new episodes will resume with the next booster pack release, which is in May.

Anyway, this was really a great episode. Overall, I wasn't really impressed with The Fortune Cup, but this was one heck of a finale. Great music, excellent animation and an engaging duel. Yu-Gi-Oh! doesn't get much better than this.
