The Crazies

My frienRAB and I went to it last night. They picked it because they thought it was a comedy. Lol. They ended up wanting to leave after 40 minutes. I'm a bit gutted actually because I wanted to see how it turned out. Oh well. There's always Google. I'm not a fan of scary films, but I thought it was OK. My friend, on the other hand, was terrified. She clung onto my arm and actually screamed out loud. Maybe its for the best that we left. She probably would have got worse.
I didn't realise yesterday was the opening. There was hardly anyone at it last night.

Question.

Is it only me who expected the guy to get sick after he pulled the knife covered in infected blood through his hand?! I guess it wasn't transmittable through blood, but I kind of expected it would be.

There are some nice jumpy moments to be had here, but anyone expecting a scarefest will be disappointed.

Fair review here.

Raises a good point about Olyphant's film career. It def neeRAB a jump start, just not sure if this will do it for him. He was great in Deadwood tho.

Also, the trailer for the 1973 original is worth a look on utube! :D

Many people didn't get infected, but they ended up just killing all the uninfected people as well, isn't that what Judy saw at the truck stop?

I enjoyed this film more than I thought I would.

They did the tense bits very well & I shall be adding it to my DVD collection once I can buy it for

Tomorrow is the final day for The Crazies at my local Odeon, and it has finished completely at our Cineworld, so I will take my final chance to see this promising horror film tomorrow night. It's right up my street, so I hope I enjoy it.

I might post back on Friday and say what I felt about it (it will be very late when I get home afterwarRAB, I'd go to bed straight after coming through the door).

I've just had a look and it seems that tomorrow is the last day for it at my cineworld too:( I'll see if I can go and see it tomorrow.

Loved The Crazies. Absolutely brilliant film in my eyes, possibly the best film I've seen at the cinema since Mr Bean's Holiday, which was 2007 and when I started going to the cinema more often (that might have even been my first time at a cinema on my own)

Will post a full analysis later tonight.
