Not to keep beating a dead horse, but when I watched the movie for the first time...I was watching the DC...I was so pissed off at the ending, I almost didn't watch the regular version.

When I finally did watch the regular version, I loved it..I thought "That's how it should have ended!"

end of rant...sorry.

I asked for this movie for my birthday.

edited because I peeked and saw that I *did* get it, my birthday's not for another week, hopefully my mom won't take it back because that would be the suck. :D

Hurry up, next Thursday. :look:

That's my favourite scene. I loved how it ended. Hated the director's cut - can't describe the feeling I felt after watching it...I know if I had seen that version in the theatre, I would've been very dissapointed.

I liked watching the deleted scenes, and watching how they shot 2 more endings of when they pass eachother (one where he stops to talk to her, the other when he follows her in a stalkerish manner) and I think they honestly chose the best one. It was completely justified why they didn't choose the other scenes. The final ending had a greater impact on me.

I thought the movie was a bit confusing but other than that I thought it was great. I didn't get the DVD, so, I don't get to see the director's cut. :(

I thought Ashton did a great job! (As always! ;) )

I thought he was so awful, but at the same time felt for him, because it was how things went down, which added to the way he was.

The DC ending SUCKED. I didn't even find it sad, but that's just me. Didn't really like the movie much really, though it was better than I first thought. I thought the media bagged it out too much. Sure, it's defiently not the best movie in the world, but it was nowhere near as bad as what it was maed out to be.

But still. I didn't like it.

Omg, I hate the burning of the dog, I have to close my eyes, that is just terrible!

And yep, Ashton was the best in this movie, imo.

Liz!! I know, such a long time!!

I'm good! Really lazy, I was going to see this movie yesterday but at the end decided to go rent some DVDs instead

Hope you're great! Its been long!

When I was listening to the commentary, the directors said that in real life he was the sweetest kid EVER and I remember thinking they should've nominated him for an Oscar! He really played a mean little bastard.

Well, The whole point of the movie is that the only way for everyone to be happy was for Evan to give something up. He gave up his relationship with Kayleigh so her life would be better and his mom's life, Tommy's & Lenny's. Going after her in the end does not need to happen, that look, and then them walking away represents that they are both moving on. Evan knows what he is moving on from, but Kayleigh doesn't even realize she is moving on from anything. It is sad though. Because, I think, the reason she turned around to look at him is because she felt the love.

awwww

I really hated her brother. He was so mean and cruel. But he's the kind of character you love to hate.

Nikki!!!!!!!!! - Hey girl!! How are you? It's be a long time!

A friend and I went to see The Butterfly Effect last night. OMG! I was very much impressed with Ashton's performance! The movie was amazing as well! Loved it!! It did make me jump and scream on quite a few scenes.

Great movie! And, I agree. It did make me think about my life and the direction it's taking because of my choices. I definitely recommend it to a friend.

Compared to the regular ending, the Director's cut sucked, IMO..

I liked the idea of maybe they could find each other again...
but, that's just me...:D

I don't really like Ashton that much either, but I would love to see him in this role, to see if he can pull the serious acting off.

Just saw the director's cut and I thought it was a great movie. Disturbing, thought-provoking, depressing. The best movie I've seen in a few months at least. Very dark and original.

I'll try to watch the theatrical version sometime this weekend if I have time.

Highly recommend this movie. I liked it A LOT better than movies like the Ring, Donnie Darko and Sixth Sense.

I sort of hated him for a long time...(as an actor) he just annoyed me..

But he was really good in this movie, and i have new respect for his abilities...:D

So I saw all of the Directors CUt. I agree, a really weird ending. To me, Ashton wasn't as bad as what people made him out to be. I found the woman who plays his mother to be worse than him.

I also found it amusing to hear thie "seven" year old call a forty-year-old a ****wit etc.

I found it okay. It definetly made more sense as the movie when along. I dind't really get the connection about the "illness' with his father, grandfather etc. I mean, I get it, but what did it have to do with the movie?

I think I want to see the original one. The ending for this one was a bit odd and unusual.

Oh my gosh, just watched this movie the other night at my boyfriend's house...... WOW!! When he told me he was going to put it on, I was like, "Whatever" cause I didn't think it would be very good. But I was so shocked! It is wonderfully made - keeps you thinking. Ashton did a great job, as did whoever playing him in his teen years. And the guy who played the youngest Evan - I've seen him on his new TV show and I must say, I admire him so much, he's a fabulous actor for someone his age. This movie surpassed my expectations, it was awesome. I watched the Director's Cut, and the ending was REALLY sad... I almost cried. Totally didn't expect it to happen.
