The best web browser out there?

So for high end phones like the N91 with Wi-fi capablity, what's the best web browser for phones. We've all heard great things about Opera, but which, Opera mini or Opera mobile...or other browsers? Your opinions would be much appreciated...

1. you're getting a new faceplate for your Ngage?! what happened to your N73? Did you pansy out?

2. On Topic - I have four browsers on my N73:

Services
Web
Opera Mini
Opera Mobile

I haven't really used Opera Mobile yet, I don't really use Opera Mini that often, either. The two default ones do pretty much anything I need, though my all-time fave is NetFront, i use it on my 6620 and 6682 and LOVED it, but they haven't update for s60v3, AFAIK. Had a nifty little shortcut that let you skip to the bottom of a page. REAL handy.

yip i did. I dropped it pretty bad so I have to get it...

For the N73 its still on the plane according to fedex

hmm opera mobile...that seems appealing except that it costs money. The built in web browser is really cool, but I was wondering if there was a better browser out there that's more friendly with large sites. I need a browser that I can view full hotmail, since the mobile.msn.com doesn't work with nokia phones...stupid hotmail.

I'm pretty partial to Opera. It was just amazing. Doris Browser was good back in the day also. And I'd say Opera is worth the money.

I bought NetFront and loved it too. But there are two things that really bother me about it. First, the PDF supporting version isn't available for the 6620. What gives with that? Second, it's slow. Try doing a speed test with NetFront and with Opera Mobile and the results will be very different.

Rant follows:

Altho I don't have a S60V3 phone yet, I'm wondering if Nokia really f'ed up with the new web browser. I use konqueror all the time (and it is the core from which this new browser is derived) and while it's a great browser, it's not slim or sleek.

I just can't see the support in rendering and supporting *everything* on a webpage. Are rollovers necessary on a phone? And konqueror is fast and reasonable memory efficient as far as desktop browsers go, I can't see how even a slimmed down version is going to be anything less than a hog on a mobile phone. Especially given Nokia's tendencies towards not including enough memory on a phone.

IMO, Nokia should have just licensed Opera Mobile and been done with it. But it looks a case of Not Invented Here won out, instead of common sense.

Rant ends.

I found Opera Mobile to be the culprit of much of the memory issues i was having with my 6682 at first so i uninstalled it and never looked back. recently put it on my n73, and haven't really used it much. is there a way to sync it if i use opera on the pc, so that all my bookmarks and stuff get updated everytime i load it up? I think that would be a clutch feature. i use google browsersync on firefox on my pc and ibook and love it.

The Nokia browser is pretty impressive imo. It tries to fit columns to fit the screen width, which usually works out. It support multiple windows. It really depends on your tastes. What really impresses me is if some boxes on facebook are java-enabled, so you have to push enter inside the search box to search for stuff. I can just push 0 three times and leave the box and it'll actually work, haven't seen this working in netfront/opera.

For rendering the page similar to how it'd look on the computer, Nokia's browser is the best. I sometimes run into out-of-memory msgs with just web and music, but not too often (I don't load pics btw). Some pages are just too wide and Nokia's browser can't handle the width, so opera is easier. I do more than 90% of surfing with the nokia browser though.

yeah im starting to think the nokia browser beats all because yesterday it was the only browser on my phone that could load my university login page properly. however, using the app almost always freezes my phone, it's on the initial firmware, so im waiting to update the firmware first before i make a final judgement. i hope the new firmware is a lot more stable and crashes less.

Hi all,
I have been using the new Safari based browser now for about a month first on my N73 and now on the N93. I only tend to open the N93 in landscape/laptop mode and by just lifting the flip to the right do not get the camera app starting. I love this browser and find navigation and clicking via the D pad both fast accurate and easy. Strangely i have found that even with the keyboard in this strange configuration i can still enter text pretty fast and getting faster. From what i have read Opera and Opera mini suck huge amounts of RAM and are known to cause crashes and freezes as does Agile messenger by all accounts. So far i have experienced no crashes or freezes but do partly put this down to the fact that i have not installed any 3rd party apps except for Autolock. The built in browser IMO is the best soloution and works really well but this is just MO.

Yeah the stock browser is amazing, there's no doubt about it. Too bad it consumes so much of the limited RAM and is too advanced for it's own good

Maybe I just go easy on my ´phone, but I only get out of mrmory errors on very large pages with lots of images and several other apps running. The new Nokia browser is awesome.

ps. i have hofo set to 50 posts per page and don't have any problems with it. It does sometimes choose not to scroll input boxes, though,

The Nokia browser does eat a lot of memory.
I would say that Opera is pretty good. I do not like opera mini because I find it a little more limiting.

NetFront used to be good, but right now it is not keepin up with the competition. Too bad, since it uses less ram than the others.
