I say Bladerunner is the most atmospheric and best film ever made, I can watch this film from time to time and never get bored of it. Just great :)

What do you think??

^ Oo good call.

But really, I'm the opposite for Blade Runner, I couldn't get into the film at all. I've only seen the Director's Cut so far. I appreciate the film but just can't enjoy it for some reason.

Top 10 for me:

1.The Dark Knight
2.Back To The Future
3.The Matrix
4.Ferris Bueller's Day Off
5.Meet Jo Black
6.Karate Kid
7.Face Off
8.Usual Suspects
9.No Country For Old Men
10.Gladiator

Ben Hur chariot scene impressive. Love any movie with underwater scenes in.. most of Hitcocks, loved some of the camera work in Vertigo.

Well I think the Lord of the Rings trilogy has to be up there. Just mind blowing, really.

Some others would be 12 Angry Men, Amelie, Gladiator, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

And I suppose to mention The Godfather would be obligatory.

As a top 10:

The Seven Samarui : The best film from one of the best film makers ever. Inspired inferior copies.

The Sting: A good story well told. Superb performances from many fine actors - with nobody trying to steal the show. The music is superb and added to the superb atmosphere.

Trading Places: A truly thoughtful comedy with a truckload of laughs but some weight behind it.

12 Angry Men: A film based around 12 people in a jury room debating a case. SunRAB dull? Far from it.

The Shawshank Redemption: Another good story well told with brilliant performances.

Goodfellas: The best mafia film. Had a different touch to it.

City of God:Rampaging, wild and spectacular film.

Lord of the Rings: They did the impossible and really brought the books to life. Spectacular in many ways.

The Blues Brothers: OK, a lightweight story, but played with great gusto, terrific humour, outstanding chases and cracking music.

Monty Python's The Life of Brian: Another clever comedy (which defeated the thick religous people) with some of the Python's finest humour.

Psycho - The movie set a new and very high standard in horror movies which I don't believe has ever been equalled. The characters were great and the direction perfect.

It's hard to say there are so many fantastic movies out there and I haven't seen half of them.

The film 2:37 is a very good film, I wish it got more notice when it was released but a very honest film.

I've also always loved Sound of Music, one of my favourites for sure - never gets old.
