The best and worst film actor ever

Nicholas Cage is brilliant in Leaving Las Vegas but is guilty of some of the worst overacting captured on film.
De Niro was possibly the greatest actor ever but since Goodfellas has been just picking up the pay cheques.
 
I think my favourite might be Michael Caine, because I love all the Harry Palmer stuff and Alfie etc.

Van Damme though, seriously useless. I dont know why but I like Segal even though he's wooden as hell, I think its the comedy element he accidentally has in his movies, he always seems to portray a native american indian with mystical abilities and the worst taste in clothing.

He was world Judo champion twice too (judo or something like that anyway).

hate Sadler & Julian SanRAB most.

like Caine, Kevin Spacey, Lawrence Harvey, Alain Delon.
 
Tom Hanks the worst actor!! :eek: I think he's great. Not worthy of the best, but very good nonetheless.

Heather Graham has to be one of the worst alongside Liz Hurley (is she even trying to act?)
 
Swayze is generally cack, but I liked him in Donnie Darko. Apart from the previously mentioned, Richard Gere tenRAB to ring 'blandness alert' alarm bells in a movie for me.

I like most of the widely respected actors and actresses, but I've got to add in Christian Bale. He carried off American Psycho superbly.
 
i think mel gibsons performances r excellent. he gets so much emoticon and hype into his films. i also think hugh jackman is good

i dont like many of john travoltas films, but the ones i do like r awesome
 
Milla Jovovich is one of the best actresses that has ever converted! :eek:

Mandy Moore is one of my faves, at least she doesn't have to dress as slutty or as revealing as other singers to make herself noticed. and she can act waaay better than britney. bless.
 
Vinnie is great as a complete nutter......... just realised, that's not acting!! Doh!!

No, he can't act really although he is better than a few who have been in the business for years, he's better just standing there looking like he'd kill you in the blink of an eye!! :D

ok - he has done some bad films...checking what hes been in I notice Footloose but then again I did say I'd never seen him in a bad film!
 
I don't know if anyone has included these but Jonny Depp and Brad Pitt have to be at the top of my list. Both great actors and have been in a lot a great films in a lot of different roles. ie fight club, seven, Fear n Loathin in Las Vegas....................

Worst actors........ There isn't really any actors I don't rate in the film business. If they are in films, then they must have some 'quality' to them. With the likes of Arnie, he does what he's best at, a bit like 'Runsill - quick drying wood-stain', does exactly what it say on the tin.
 
Best Actor : Orlando Bloom (mailnly coz of how lush he is)
Best Actress : Naomi Watts (the ring, 21 grams)

Worst Actor : Jim Carrey
Worst Actress : Halle Berry (so ove-rated)
 
best actor.the magnificent johnny depp and i'm not on the pirates bandwagon either, his performance in fear and loathing just blew me away, he is the best actor of his generation. with him he doesn't just act the part he is the part.


worst actor, oh where to start............arnold terminator and sylvester rocky are pretty dire and over-rated, just try watching D-Tox and you'll see what i mean
