The Beatles

Doesn't make it any less good.

Yeah but you're from Texas which is in America and either way thats minus one good song of several. Rubber Soul even not counting that still has better songs than Help!

So those two tracks can save a supposedly completely unsolid album? That logic really isn't so great, especially seeing as neither track can hold a candle to In My Life or even I'm Looking Through You.

If you'd ever seen the Stones live, then you would hardly describe them as being one dimensional.
Easily the greatest live band on earth.

George Martin contributed more to the music than The Beatles did actually.

The second half was music written completely by him, and The Beatles really had no involvement with it.

It was an awesome movie too, on DDD I edit a list of the all time greatest animated films and Yellow Submarine is #11.

I think it's overexposure and they just think "urgh, overrated." even though they are rated so highly for a reason..

And my favourite is John, even though I have a soft spot for Paul it's got to be Mr. Lennon. Something about his destructive personality interests me, as well as the fact his voice is my favourite. Who's your favourite?

So Elivis, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams are not good? Thats what you're saying by your logic. I disagree.

What makes me alugh about Music Banter is that we'll always compare them to the Rolling Stones but a band that had more in common with the Beatles, Like the Beach Boys, a band that is arguably just as good if not better, never gets brought up.

Say what you will about Lennon/McCartney, but Brian Wilson was out pacing them as just one man.

I just can't choose one as the "best".

Virtually all of their albums were revolutionary for their time. Of all their original album releases, I don't believe there was a weak one in the bunch.

There are some I consider better than others, but even the ones I don't consider their best were outstanding in their own right.

1. What do you think of it? How do you rank it in the scheme of Beatles albums?

2. What disc do you prefer?

3. What are your favorite songs?

Keeping it simple and basic, anyone here listen to The Beatles. I"m a Beatles OCD. They're my all time favorite band. I can't stand the music from this generation, it's all just CRAP. Especially the rap **** we have. It's just horrible. It's not even music. That's just my opinion though. Anyone else share it?

The songwriting partnership ended well after Beatlemania began? John and Paul had both stated that they had essentially ended their partnership before they ever appeared on Ed Sullivan. The songs that we consider 'Paul' songs were written exclusively by Paul, and the 'John' songs likewise have little to no input from Paul. John and Paul have said that themselves.

Well, The Beatles are the highest ranked band in the world, so unless you consider them to be among your very favourites, they are overrated to you.

I think the Beatles are good, and they did some really good albums, but they didn't go far enough or experiment successfully enough with their music like some of their contemporaries (The Stooges, Cream, Frank Zappa, The Small Faces, The Velvet Underground and Pink Floyd come to mind), which is why I consider them inferior to many other 60s banRAB, and banRAB of later decades for that matter.

Awww, I see someone pissed because their argument has no backing, they just got proved wrong and the only thing they have to defend themselves is "it sucks." Need a pacifier?
