The Amazing World Of Gumball – News & Discussion Thread

The episode after The Mystery is The Prank, then The Gi. A gi is the uniform you wear in karate, so it's probably the episode where Gumball and Darwin vow to never take their uniforms off. A lot of clips for The Gi are on cartoonnetwork.com. They are called "Gumball Knows Karate", "Mom's Warning", and " The Cottontail Cavalier". :anime:
 
I would assume it would involve... a prank. We'll have to wait until either MSN or TVGuide put up a description, and until then, any descriptions that are floating around are just speculation.
 
Folks… I believe the surreal factor of this series may have just been taken up to eleven. I found this picture online and while it’s tiny and difficult to see, you can see the bizarre cast of characters. I like the realistic T-Rex, but the banana on the left and the cactus on the right intrigue me. I’m not even sure what half of those characters even are!

I really like the orchestral stuff. I posted an example earlier in this thread. It's not all orchestral - the music in the series is almost as varied as its animation - but you don't hear orchestral stuff in children's animation that often. Beyond that, I'm afraid I can't really comment because I don't know how to really review music. I liked what I heard, however.
 
I really haven't heard enough of the kids to judge, but they sounded OK, based on what little I have heard. Sometimes hiring non-traditional voice actors can work in a show's favor, provided the actors are talented and possess the right sound.

I haven't seen any animated clips featuring the parents yet, so I have no idea what they sound like, only the voices that I've assigned them in my head. Since only Gumball, Darwin and Anais will be voiced by American actors, it'll be interesting hear how the other characters sound in relation to them.
 
Looks better and better with each clip. I hope Anais, Nicole, and the dad rabbit (his name eludes me right now) each get a trailer where they're more prominent, especially dad rabbit; he's only appeared 1 video so far.
 
I personally like Penny, she seems to be a very nice character. I like the fact that they have a crush on eachother, but are abit on the shy side admit it to eachother=^w^=
