The 10 Song Shuffle

Ain't nothin bad on that list. I'm most pleased to see Jonathan Coulton, though. And that Nick Cave album is actually the first one I ever heard.

Vetiver - Strictly Rule
Kate Nash - Kiss That Grrrl
Brad Paisley - I'll Take You Back
Mickey Newbury - She Even Woke Me Up to Say Goodbye
Chris Whitley - Dirt Floor
Quasi - Nothing from Nothing
Blitzen Trapper - Sadie
Slim Cessna's Auto Club - Children of the Lord
Tall Dwarfs - Walking Home
The Smiths - Unhappy Birthday

Man, I dunno... that was not an easy favorite to pick, partially cos a lot of those are really different (even though there's a strong country thread running through that sampling). But I really like Chris Whitley and consider him quite underrated, so there it is.

Hey -crosses arms- msg me some banRAB with certain songs and I'll tell you what I think.
I can promise you I'll give it a listen - not that I will like it or not.

I can honestly say I have never heard a single song by any of these artists.
Though I have heard the names Brian Eno & The Smiths.
Perhaps I should check them out...

Hardcore UFO's - Guided By Voices
Hey Grandma [Live] The Black Crowes
St. Andrew's Fall - Blind Melon
Alone - Heart
Lonesome Highway - Rory Gallagher
A Favor House Atlantic [Live] - Coheed & Carabria
Rooster - Alice In Chains
Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of) - The Mars Volta
No Fun - The Stooges
Franklin's Tower [Live] - The Grateful Dead

I must say that is great list :)
If anyone doesn't know the Black Crowes & you like blues rock and/or Southern Rock, definitely check them out.

^^^ Great pick on Primus. I love Roadhouse Blues, I found a live version like a year ago that was just amazing! Bungle is sick too, I feel as if I should think they suck, but I'm strangley drawn to them.

As with all my lists, mostly banRAB everyone is familiar with. I think the Husker Du track is a no-brainer as my favorite. And I just got into Mudhoney, people should check 'em out if they haven't already

I like At the Drive-In and Dinosaur Jr, Dillinger Escape Plan are so-so. The rap stuff I'm not that familiar with, so I can't comment, except, I know I don't like Eminem. Dinosaur's The Lung is a great song :)

  1. 13th Floor Elevators - Slip Inside This (Easter Everywhere)
  2. Pussy Galore - Fix It (Right Now!)

I'm surprised they never had a bigger cult following with the punks out here. Trumpton Riots was kinda Pouge-ish, imo....

I like Bright Eyes, Atmosphere, and Pink Floyd, I'm not a fan of metal, but since I have never listened to Electric Wizard, Cynic, Napalm Death or Behemoth I can't make any judgments, Temptations are good, don't like the Wu-Tang Clan.

Wolf Parade- We Built Another World
Silver Jews- San Francisco BC
Bloc Party- Better than Heaven
Andrew Jackson Jihad- A Song Dedicated to the Memory of Stormy the Rabbit
Papercuts- You Can Have What You Want
Rilo Kiley- Love and War (11/11/46)
Bob Dylan- Not Dark Yet
Dirty Pretty Things- Gin and Milk

Bloodbath - So You Die
Hate Times Nine - A Shadow Always
Slayer - Consfearacy
Megadeth - The Right To Go Insane
Blue Oyster Cult - I Love The Night
Pantera - Live In A Hole
Dethklok - Black Fire Upon Us
Black Sabbath - Children Of The Grave

^Gotta go with the iced earth out of those

Brad Paisley - Holdin' On To You
Radiohead - Subterranean Homesick Alien
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Save The Population
Dokken - In My Dreams
Kill Hannah - Statues Without Eyes
David Nevue - The Vigil
Don Williams - I Don't Want To Love You
Hawthorne Heights - Light Sleeper
Dio - Stand Up And Shout
Led Zeppelin - Misty Mountain Hop
Secret And Whisper - Attacker

This one came out really odd. Gonna have to rep the Don Williams. :D

Haven't heard any of the Clash in ages, The Smiths as well. R.E.M > I hear whenever my mom puts them on and The Flaming Lips -thurabs up-

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Justify
Papa Roach - Reckless
Seether - Truth
Eighteen Visions - I Let Go
VNV Nation - Beloved

OMG! It's a first time in a long time that my random shuffle comes out the way my mood is. This was a hard choice to choose one since all 10 songs are mostly my favs. GAH! >.<

-Added-

Within Temptation - Frozen

lol k theres my fav of the list

Love RHCP, The Beatles & The Who. Like what Ive heard of The Church. And only heard one Silverchair song. The rest I clueless on.

The Rolling Stones - Under My Thurab
Tool - Jarabi
The ORABpring - Americana
Nirvana - Heart-shaped Box
Neil Young & Crazy Horse - F&^kin' Up
Pearl Jam - Immortality
Bob Dylan - No Time To Think
Primus - John The Fisherman
Nirvana - The Man Who Sold The World
AC/DC - Let There Be Rock

Good shuffle there! I love that NY & CH song, its a great "angry" song for me.

I look at that list and nothing really grabs at me as something I much care for..

1. "Never Is Enough" Barenaked Ladies
2. "Creeping Shadow" Kow Otani
3. "LOL" Pepper
4. "Blame the Vain" Dwight Yoakam
5. "Halloween II" Misfits
6. "Big Salty Tears" The Ziggens
7. "Sister Beams" Slobberbone
8. "Ayo Technology" Milow
9. "Ten Days Late" Third Eye Blind
10. "Velcro" Single File

Just an ugly shuffle this time.

^Looks like somebody didn't read the rules. You're supposed to comment on the list above yours and only bold one favorite track of your 10. Also, since you have a lot of repeating banRAB going on there, either you have a very small music collection on your player or you didn't shuffle everything on the device you're using, which is another one of the thread rules.

Anyway, I only really know one song on your list and it's "Son Of A Preacher Man", but I definitely dig that track. So you get points from me. :)

My list:

1. Gary Wilson—"Mary Had Brown Hair"
2. Sublime—"Under My Voodoo"
3. The Fireman—"Nothing Too Much Just Out Of Sight"
4. Tom Waits—"House Where Nobody Lives"
5. Joy Division—"Glass"
6. The Deviants—"You've Got a Hold On"
7. De La Soul—"Double Huey Skit"
8. Akercocke—"Dying In The Sun"
9. Bush—"Comedown (Lunatic Calm Mix)
10. Simply Saucer—"Mole Machine"
