Are u one of those dudes that didn't goto school?

Yup, I graduated in may of 2008 busted my ass finding a job (with no real work experience in my field) even though I worked in the radiation and laser dept for UT.

Thanks to scholarships and grants I only owed 20k for 5 years of education.

2 years working now and doing well for :Texas:

for sure

the whole system is dependent on bloating enrollment in order to keep federal and state money coming in

Until last year, in GA, if you had a 3.0, your tuition was basically free at state schools. So the schools started making it super easy to get a 3.0 in order to keep enrollment high

as an aside, I read an article about how law schools purposely spend excess money on buildings in order to increase their "money spent per student" statistic that contributes to their tier ranking... so they are literally trying to out-spend each other in order to keep their rankings high.

Because they don't have enough money. EVERYONE has had cuts in the past few years. Even NSF.

This bill doesn't only hurt graduate students, but undergraduates too.

i have no problem with this and i'm currently in grad school personally i think college should be harder to get in and more people growing up should be steered into areas they find interesting and are useful. however, with the way things continue to be outsourced, people keep thinking education is the only way.
