Tennessee now more corrupt than Illinois

What does red states have to do with Pedros, Torres, blood and crips, Willie, Rabbis, a Haitian national, etc.

Nearly every state employee in IL has a vehicle for themselves that they lend to friends and family. None of the vehicles are accounted for. No one pays for shit.

Tons of people were caught being on the state's payroll without doing ANYTHING. Just fake jobs

Not surprising. TN has been hit with a lot of scandal. The whole Sunshine BS a few years back, the Knox County Charter shaking up the County Commission, Knox County Law Director embezzling funds, sheriffs taking "personal loans" out of drug funds. The list goes on and on. There isn't a month that goes by that the TBI isn't investigating some random rural town because their mayor/sheriff/commission is acting shady. Plus we get shake-ups in the "big" cities quite frequently too. Knoxville is rife with corruption (the mayor's race is all about not having any ties to the recent corruption instead of plans and ideas about restricting sprawl, revitalizing overlooked sections of town, and methods to combat shrinking budgets with a growing deficit). Memphis is in a similar situation as well.

It's a real shame as the people that get elected to clean things up end up having no authority to really change anything and the ones that do have that authority are more important about future elections (both re-election to their seat and higher seats of power---Knoxville's mayor is most likely going to be our next governor, the local state senator is trying to get the Knoxville mayor's job, county commissioners are trying to get the vacated senate seat and I'm sure we've got others that are playing things low-key with an eye on Lamar Alexander's senate seat in 2014 (since most don't think he'll run for a third term).
