...according to 'The Daily Beast', some website I know absolutely nothing about.

Damning evidence, eh? Not really, but it does run counter to the suggestion it is 'common knowledge' that Illinois takes the cake. This site ranks Illinois in the 40's.

Pretty sure that if you peel back the layers, every red state is more corrupt than IL. How else could they get their population to vote against their self interests?
 
Not sure how that site came to their conclusions, but IMO their methods are suspect.

They ranked WI at #18, and for proof, they used the story of an executive at Koss who embezzled money. Not exactly proof of government corruption

I would never say that Illinois as a state is corrupt, nor would I claim it's common knowledge. What I would claim is that the city of Chicago is one of the worst.
 
Oh I will say it. The state as a whole is full of corruption. Chicago is the head of the beast and Springfield is the tail.
 
I had heard in recent years, many recent years like 50'-60', when Nashville was referred to as "Chicago of the South"..arising from the Teamsters and moonshine mixture of ...as a matter of fact, I just invented a new tiki bar special!
 
theres nothing more obnoxious than red state people trapped in blue states complaining about how their state is the most corrupt. its like a pissing contest for fat, old white guys.
 
If Obama was from Boston the title of this thread would be "Tennessee now more corrupt than Beacon Hill"

chicago definitely wasn't corrupt at all before obama came to power.
 
I'm not saying Chicago isn't corrupt. I'm saying that there are lots of corrupt officials in all governments. Your perceived severity of it, however, is corrupted by what you know and have been told. Most notably, you've listened to the right wing pundits parrot off about how corrupt Chicago is in an attempt to smear Obama by proxy. You've fallen for it, naturally, as you have with illegal immigrants and black people.
 
Maryland #23? What a load of shit. It should be WAY higher than that. Baltimore's Mayor was removed from office for stealing gift cards from the poor. They don't even mention that, but they still mention Blago.
 
Considering I lived there and was a State Trooper I have pretty good first hand perception of just how corrupt it was.


And trust me, this has nothing to do with Obama because the shit was very corrupt long before he even got there. He just happened to join the ranks and become just another corrupt politician.

Seems you're the outsider who's trying to downplay the corruption because you immediately assumed it was "all about Obama". Damn dude, give the sackriding defender role a rest would you?
