Tell S60.com Your Wish Application

You know, it's funny you should put that point of view forward. Any maybe this does belong in another thread. Me and my lunch buddy were talking about this today, how he kinda wants a Wii. I was like, you know, I've played a PS3 twice now at stores, and yeah the graphics are kinda cool, but they're definitely not $700 cooler, at least imo. And I think also to the majority of consumers, they can't tell a difference.

Gaming I think for the mainstream consumer is past graphics and whatnot, they want the experience, which is why Nintendo went with the Wii. It's fun to play, and fun to watch other people play.

I think Nokia's going for the same thing. They're not shooting for the greatest graphics ever, just something fun that you can do with the one device that's ALWAYS with you. I for one am really excited.

I think Nokia's realizing how pissed off people are going to be about this. I don't think they thought it would be such a big deal but everywhere I hear/read Feature Pack 1 mentioned, there's at least several people saying it's crap that you can't update existing phones to it. Or at least download the new browser.

I'm sure it's going to have wi-fi and with that interface it's going to be slick. I just hope the game play can be both vert and hori.

I had a game (that I cant remember now) for the 7610 that utilized the camera during game play...something with ghosts....but it was actually kind of cool. And to continue the derailment, I completely agree. I've had a 360 for 6 or 7 months but find myself only playing ea's boxing as it's controls and looks are so life like. I'm going to wait until the holiday craze has passed and pick up a wii as I think my 3 year old might be able to enjoy and maybe learn with it due to the physical aspect of game play. It may get kids off of their fat a$$es for once.

They admited that they shouldnt have called it feature pack bacause of that. I don't believe FP1 will be upgradable. However, one of the guys behind the Nokia browser said they were looking into the feasability to port the new version to existing devices, with no promise of course.

it's been a long time since I've owned a console (can we say Super Nintendo? LOL), but I was impressed when I started seeing the Wii on engadget and whatnot because of the physical aspect of it. How many of y'all are old enough to remember playing Track and Field on the original Nintendo with the Power Pad?

People can ***** about video games, and I personally am just not that into them, but rather than trying to fight kids who want to play, why not use them for the tool that they have the potential to be? I was seriously impressed, for example, by all the educational offerings for the Nintendo DS... if more game companies get on board with that, then you not only will engage many more age ranges of kids, but parents too.

That being said, I still freakin' LOVE Vice City, the only game I've played in the last 5 years really (over at friends houses).

Back on topic, what's the deal with FP1 anyway? I haven't paid much attention to it...

That's understandable seeing that was a Nokia. hell....my wife who hates games got hooked on the sims on my QD for some time...now she's back to yahoo pool...that's the extent of her HD gaming lol

Lol, my wife's two fav games of all time: Super Mario World (on the SNES, she still plays it once a week or so), and Tetris (on my old brokeass original gameboy, which she still loves). She doesn't get into any other games either.

now that I cant blame her for....that game on that system is maybe the greatest of all time. The rocket was some high tech $#!T for it's time...that's why i'm hooked back on s-tris on my E61 and N73. i've damn near shredded both joysticks playing that damn game. ...kobes got 39 in the 3rd.....oops...watching bb

Lol, my wife is pregnant (due in May), and she's already decided that her focus point for labor is going to be Tetris LMAO... I might get her a GB Advance off ebay, so she has one that's more up to date though.

That's when my wife was hooked on Sims. (when she was pregnant that is) Then I bought her a DS and she looked at and said "WTF is this, another cell phone?"..so it was str8 back to cpm usa. B***h!

Im old enough to remember transitioning from atari 2600 to a Coleco Vision (think thats how it was spelled) and it was like finding god. Coleco vision had donkey kong and it was just sick....so yes I remember
