Jim
I am a recently new user of T5.
I started with a Palm Vx, progressed to Palm m515, then onto Tungsten T3, and currently T5.
With each upgrade there was a learning curve for me, but that was never a big curve. Each upgrade, I have been happy with my upgrade. I have started with Palm products and have not deviated. What can I say, I am a creature of habit.
I was hesitant to move onto a T5, but when my T3 died, I had no choice when I discovered Palm was discontinuing the T3. Now that I have my T5, I am becoming more and more happy with my product.
Initial installation of all the applications I use in my professional career and in my personal life was a chore. I discovered that the T5 becomes overwhelmed if you try to install too many applications at one time. Once I discovered this, I was able to install all of my many applications through stages.
I appreciate all of the storage available. I also appreciate the relative smoothness of the operation. Of course there are minor gliches, but these were minor and appear to have essentially resolved themselves as my T5 and I get to know each other better each day.
I hadn't really used the voice recorder on my T3, so I really have no remorse in not having this option. I know that this and the lack of WI-FI capablities some find bothersome, but that doesn't bother me either. I have discovered that if I had internet access while working, contributes to my lack of productivity.
