I know everyone else besides me is foaming at the mouth about this damn WIFI, but if the newest incarnation is in fact a high-RAM permanent landscape "TE" like a stretched T3 with no slider, the first one down to the store will be ME . . . for a spare OS5 unit. If SOS is correct, that's actually GOOD NEWS as far as I'm concerned since it gives some of us "one last crack" at a whiz-bang OS5 unit that will still run our software(s).
In fact, landscape be damned . . . I rarely use it anyway . . . even 320x320 with 128MB and OS5 would be MORE than sufficient. I'm maintaining that 60 apps that WORK beats OS6 and WiFi.
I know this "whiffy" is real important to some of you . . . and Godspeed getting what YOU want and deserve. But frankly I'm gonna throw up if I here it one more time and here's why:
If I start going into convulsions at Starbucks because I have to be on the web with my white mocha breve, I'll buy a Vaio or a Powerbook . . . or a WiFi Card. We're talking about more than "WiFi or not" here . . . the WiFi cards are now out for the T3 for heaven's sake (THANKS for the post, OLDBLUE!!!) . . . doesn't anyone care about LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY with respect to every other single thing you're using a PDA for?
Bill Gates said "without software a PC is a box that lights up." Never more true than now, folks. Long live DA's and the software we've all paid dearly for. Would be nice if we could use 'em. PalmOne's sheer neglect for truth in a marketplace in which they KNOW people are "attentive and anxious" is another reason they're going to eventually LOSE. PPC owners already HAVE their answer.
Just my 2 cents.
