The 8820 T-Mobile will be getting is not going to be electrically or mechanically different from the one at&t currently has. It will have different software in it to activate the UMA feature of the unit.

3G is currently only available to CDMA customers when it comes to BB devices (with I believe the 8707 being an exception?). There will most likely be a complete new lineup for 3G GSM devices beyond what is available today.

No one knows if they will be offering the capability of discounted unlimited family plans in the future since Sprint has upped the ante in the new price war. From what I can tell, it looks like almost everything has become fair game in this new unlimited battle.

I've been with tmo for over seven years and had seen it fall flat on it face. Tmo is the laft in technology and phones. They use to be customer friendly now they the worst. They implemented and raise all kind of fees. In fact, when you compare what you getting from other phone companies and the extra fees tmo charge, it balance out. Far as the services the above mentioned, they are worthless just like my faves. They just sound good and you be paying for some thing you don't really need.
For the record, Sprint have the best unlimited plan. You get every thing tmo offering plus unlimited web browsing for $99.99
Verizon charge the same as tmo for the same service.

I feel ya kevweb...customer service is slipping fast!! Plus I want the Bold asap! I dont want to wait til next year for it, while tmo's focus is elsewhere! Like a suretype flip BB! I might be impatient but cant see sticking around for that!

i have that 1500/39.99 plan with bb add on, 400 sms, insurance comes out to ~$99. that's alot cheaper than 120, i've never come even close to going over 1500 as the plan also comes with unlimited tmo-tmo and nites&weekends.

all that said, i live in nyc and the reception here is horrid, this is nyc where there's a cell tower nearly everywhere. can't imagine what it'd be like in the burbs. even though i love tmo and it's cs, i'm rdy to bail for att and the bold. what's the use of having reception when i get failed calls and 1 bar in so many places.
