Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Dec. 2007)

The movie is amazing! I watched it last night, and was in heaven!

Jonny's voice is very good, and he does such a good job at playing Sweeney. I have to say that I loved Helena! I didn't think at first that I would because she seemed so different from the Mrs. Lovette I'm used too, but it was a nice little change. Her voice is amazing, and she just does a great job at playing the slightly crazy women. Of course Alen Rickman does a wonderful job but that's not surprising at all.

Blah this is a bad review because I'm trying to remember everything I wanted to say and it's not working.

All in all it was a good movie, and I will so be watching it again when it's released

What a thrill that's going to during the whole movie. I wanted Mrs. Lovett to be older but Helena is so good at this type of role that, seriously, I couldn't argue with the choice.
 
This movie just looks better and better. My friend whose more excited about the movie than I am, wonders why they are not releasing it on Halloween.
 
she was so wonderful through the whole movie!
the songs she sings in are the ones i listen to the most :)
 
Johnny is amazing! I've been in love with him since Crybaby, now granted that wasn't him singing in crybaby but it is in this movie. Everytime I see the trailer and it gets to the "I will have vengence..." I just swoon.
 
I will see it maybe this week or next week. But this will be the next movie i will see.
 
I'm really pulling for Tim Burton to receive his first Best Director nomination at the Oscars. Corpse Bride was nominated but for Best Animation. Burton, himself should get one.
 
Johnny is singing in one of the trailer's.

You know, I think it's smart not to promote it musically, just because they seem to want to trigger a mixed audience and Male's don't really dig musical's. However, everyone know's it's a musical, so therefore when they do end up seeing it and Johnny and everyone is singing, they won't be shocked. I think it's actually smart. That's just my idea on it.
 
I love the trailor. The movie is going to be amazing.

Johnny Depp is one of my all time faves and I think he is perfect for this role. The whole cast looks great!

It took forever and a day, but I FINALLY watched it!

Oh man, what a movie.... I can't say enough about it so I won't say anything at all. :lol: I'm just amazed right now. I could hear Depp's voice all day, it was perfectly dramatic and dark. Wow. I'm in love. Johnny just rocked the house.
 
Yes. Johnny has been nominated for Golden Globes and Oscar's the last few years, so I am hoping for some recognition for Sweeney Todd, as well, which seem's like it is going to be a hit.
 
I just finished reading the Entertainment Weekly article and I'm so pumped to see this movie! I'm hoping that we get Oscar nominations out of Sweeny Todd! :)
 
I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night and it's just amazing how he transforms himself into his characters. It's going to be really exciting to see how he gives us Sweeny Todd :)
