Swedish Wallander Series 2

We knew that Isabelle and Pontus were finishing their "secondment" in this episode, things were said and the scene was set. I was fully expecting Isabelle to get Pontus (or herself, or the pair of them, but mainly Pontus) killed before the end of that episode. I do love a happy ending.

I agree that the plots are outlandish but I forgive them because the actors and production team do so well (and wasn't the camera work more restrained this time?). It must be so difficult to invent original storylines for such a well-worn genre - look at UK efforts

I haven't seen the earlier ones (maybe none from S1) from before I knew it was really worth the effort of reading the subtitles, so I'm very glad it's on and I'm looking forward to this. :)

I think it has been more and more obvious as the weeks have gone on but with no explanation......they probably think we wouldn't notice! When she was carrying the baby out on Saturday she actually looked pregnant. Maybe the depression was making her eat a lot.
Also, is it my imagination or does Kurt's hair change colour every five minutes?

I missed series 1 too (and the start of series 2 as well) but I'm really enjoying it so far. I like the difficult and interesting relationship between Kurt and Linda (lovely awkwardness when he turned up in the morning at Stefan and Linda's love-nest) and there seems to be more humour too (or perhaps I am appreciating it more). There was the exchange with Kurt's boss last week when she wanted material for a press conference and also Kurt's failed attempts at furniture assembly this week plus probably a few other things I have forgotten.

Sorry for double posting, I messed up quoting from multiple messages.

Was the losing then re- finding his dog sub plot a metaphor for the relationship with his boss.:D

This weeks effort was a lot better than last weeks silly story. Though overall I don't feel as comfortable with Wally series 2 as I was with the first.

I had also noticed that Johanna's face was getting fatter , but this does happen to many women ( and men) when they get to 30 or so.

Still nothing on i Player, there must be some copyright reason, but it is very annoying. I could easily have watched it on Saturday if I knew it was not on i Player.

Did they show an episode of this on BBC a year or so ago? If so, then yes, it was excellent.

I wish they showed more European TV series - if they are well done, then you soon forget that there are subtitles.

BTW was anyone else struck by the shots of the fielRAB of oilseed rape in this week's show - they featured heavily in KBs first episode as well, IIRC.

Yes, I've got a couple of episodes on a PVR that I can't bring myself to watch. It's a shame, they had a good character to develop in Lewis himself but they've botched it.

Agreed - very much enjoyed seeing more of Isabelle!

Word of advice to Kurt, though. If you're feeling a bit "hot under the collar", forget about "Madame La Prosecutor", go and spend some quality time with "Mrs Pathologist"!

next weeks episode has far more action and there is one scene were Kenny B can learn a thing or two about how to be Kurt and be emotional without being over the top about it.

There was also a moment, when Katarina was talking to Kurt at one of their homes.

She asked Kurt if he thought of the little girl, and he replied that he thought about her every day.

A strange reply about a girl he hardly knew, but was it for Lin-dah.

Another good one last night I thought even if the way everything interconnected was somewhat contrived. Increased roles for Matinssson and Svartman especially are now starting to fill the void left by Stefan and Linda and even good old Nyberg has gotten a boost as well. Happy to see this finally regaining some of the quality of the first series.
